I require lenses that correct for distance (+0.5) and reading (+1). I'm 45 years old and considering Zeiss Office Lens and Essilor Varilux. Could you recommend a lens that minimizes distortion and provides excellent near and intermediate vision correction?

Very useful information sir. Everything is good but one doubt hasn't been cleared, now the trend is to wear bigger size frame, what we the dispenser can't ignore the customers choice. The question is, if the frame is bigger than need,then what will be the segment height at the time of order the lens. As an instance, customer preferred a frame which is 30 MM long from the PD point. On the other side, the frame has got proper 12 MM space from the PD point to upper part of the frame. In this case what will be the choice of Lens segment height at the time of order placing to the Lens marker company. I eagerly waiting for your valuable response. By the way I have been doing this Lens fitting job for 22 years.

What if patient is satisfy with his distant vision but not with his near vision on his first experienced with progressive glass

1) near power is correctly prescribed
2) is the PD proper
3) is the pantoscopic tilt enough
