Oil Companies should rebrand themselves as Energy And Technology Companies. They should invest heavily in Green Energy and associated technologies as its the new game they have the resources to dominate.
Instead of burning their Oil resources as quickly as they can they should see Oil as a long term source of income. Oil will always be needed industrially so with their Cartels in place they should see the opportunity to make good profits for decades to come. And, oh no, that will help save the Planet they live on at the same time.
