“Filmed September 4th through 9th 2006, 4 weeks out from the Mr Olympia 2006.
This dvd includes five days of his workouts.
98% of the content is Black & White. This is done by Branch Warren's request to attain that Hardcore look.
NOTE: There is much footage of David Jacobs training with Branch and Jay, and also an one-on-one with David. David Jacobs was busted about a year later for distributing/manufacturing steroids and then killed himself and Amanda Jo Earhart-Savell 18 months after this film was released.”

I followed bodybuilding in highschool around the year 2000. Amazing days.
Those days were golden I remember you could find a hole in the wall gym with dumbells going to 150 everyone trained with a purpose. I trained at three gyms were bodybuilders and powerlifters trained so you know the atmosphere,all you heard were the clanging of weights
I love watching Branch and Johnnie workout. People can say form is important, sloppy form doesn't do anything and it causes injury. Correct or incorrect, they may have some kind of point but the fact is: he produced results to the highest level. Everything he did seemed to work for him.
You’re right. It seemed to work wonders for them. Not the best to emulate, but whatever works for your specific body/lifestyle.

This is only one week of training 4 weeks out from the OLYMPIA. Can you imagine if we all gave half of this to our own training ALL of the time. I'll speak for myself. I need to step it up. Quit is not in BRANCH WARREN'S vocabulary. God damn freak.

Branch seems like a ray of sunshine. The dude literally picked up the trap bar with weights and threw it onto the bench. I would tell them both gtfo. Throwing shit they probably left there day before. Stopped watching after partner threw the trap bar. Reminds me of chet from weird science.

Oddly Branch only came 12th in the 2006 Olympia, his lowest ever placing in that contest. He'd been 8th the year before, and wouldn't compete in it again until 2009, when he would come 2nd to Jay Cutler.

I saw a vid of Branch Warren and Johnnie Jackson training and thought "no way would I get anything out of training like that. Too fast, too loose." And then I tried it and got the most massive pump I've had in years!! I cant explain it, but that's how I'm training now - lighter obviously - but fast and loose with enough weight and lots of reps. And I'm loving it!!
theres nothing wrong with speed.. as long the reps is full of motion
People don’t realise that it’s all about intensity not form people obsess over form like it’s some sort of ideal
@@mogenvonbogel7342 Ever notice that the guys who obsess over "perfect form" rarely have any legit size? Years ago Bertil Fox was the no.1 mass monster, and when we all saw his training video we realized weight plus intensity trumps strict form every time. Bertil's form was terrible but the guy was freakishly strong for that time and trained like an animal.

Would have been good to have been in colour so we can see the dirt and shyt on the floor and the rust on the weights. You see the weights in black and white and you’d think they’re not rusted, when they’re actually heavily rusted to the point of “holly crap” you serious? Yes serious. To be honest, and no dis to Branch and his mates but he belongs in this Gym. This video / style of training makes Metroflex the ideal shooting location. No pretty boys or fitness honeys here, this is for real men. Having said that it doesn’t meet my sanitary standards. If you have callouses on your hands you wanna be careful the rust doesn’t enter. I also believe they have a strictly no towel policy. Apparently they check you bags to make sure you’re not carrying one. Having said all that the gym is truly legendary in its own way. Not for me, but still legendary.
Yea man I agree 💪💪 from the sounds of it, I think planet fitness would be the perfect gym for you. Super clean, friendly staff and for the most part, no meat heads. 🤙

Totally agree. Nothing beats the ambiance of clanking weights. That’s why I love training videos.
Agree with you both. Unfortunately Metroflex was blaring copyright protected music which gets flagged by UA-cam. The closest thing I could get to the original was to overlay some music with the original audio, so you can still hear the weights and voices. It’s the best we can do, sorry.
