I just got it a few months ago 1900 Thb or about 52 pounds 💷 And for someone who never use things on their prime like me feels super lucky. It is PRICELESS quality. Loved it.
Got one free (Hero 4 Silver) from my neighbour who bought a storage locker. Came with charger and three batteries. Had to buy a case and a few things, but it worked great on a recent 600km motorcycle trip. I think I need new batteries, because lifespan was not great, even after shutting off wifi and not using the phone app. Overall, it's very good.
I was hoping to find more tips about starting and stopping video when you’re skiing and the best approaches for interacting with it when it’s on your helmet. Great tips though thank you very much for posting

Glad you found this helpful! In regards to Instagram - That's unavoidable. Instagram depletes the quality of videos and photos uploaded to it. The best quality for Video is on either UA-cam or Vimeo. They will retain quality much better than Instagram
Does silver come with screen or the black edition? Got one from my friends.. I wanna use it to film my backside of the bike always and keep an eye on traffic
Regarding the Audio, If you take it out of the case you have to hold it with your hands and it is not as stable as it would be with the handle so the footage comes shaky. :(
Sounds like something to do with the optics... Clean the case and camera glass. If that doesn't solve the problem then you'll have to send it back to GoPro :)
+karan parmar Depends on which batteries you use. The official GoPro ones cost around £15 - £20. Or you can get multiple batteries from a third party company, (E.G Smatree), for the same price.
We record audio on both the GoPro and our PCM/Dictaphone, then line up the audio profile (you can automatically sync it on Final Cut X but it's not as accurate as doing it manually). Alternatively you can clap in front of the camera (so that it's visible) with the audio for both the PCM and GoPro turned on, then line up the spike in the audio when your hands meet.

It shoots in 4k 30fps. How's it compared to a s9+ or so
I got mine today for free since my sister is no longer using it. They use their phone instead :) the problem is the battery, it's fully drained
@@xpodx the biggest different is the newer models shoot in 4K 60fps

It’s a lot easier going through the settings on the hero 4 by using the touch screen on the back.

you can also find 'skeleton' cases that hold the camera without covering the microphone so you can still mount it to a tripod etc.

If you want smooth footage that you can slow down go for 50 FPS or higher :)

I have a Hero 4 silver and the FPS does not go up to 120.
