Walk along the Danube Promenade (Danube Corso), stretching between Elizabeth Bridge and the Chain Bridge in Pest, also provides a fine view of the Buda side.
Downtown Budapest is where the business life, banks, many cultural and historical sights are centered.
Several parts of the city centre are world heritage site, protected by the UNESCO.

-the Danube Embankment became the first protected areas in 1987, following
-the elegant Andrássy Avenue and its neighborhood in 2002

Reconstruction completely finishes at the end of 2023. Maybe It will open for pedestrians earlier. 🙂
