"April 8th" (Known as "四月八 Si Yue Ba" in Chinese) is a traditional Western Hmong (Miao) festival rooted in Hmong origin. It is a festival more commonly celebrated among the Hmong groups in Guizhou province. The festival was first celebrated among the Hmong to commemorate one of the Hmong king "亚鲁王 (Yaaj Laug)" and all of the fallen soldiers during the wars. Today, "April 8th" is a major festival celebrated among different ethnic minorities and throughout Guizhou province. The English subtitles in the video are not the best, but at least you can understand some of it.
