I was just watching this type of diy for the envelope cases with the pillows. One thing they were talking about, is using the same pillows just changing the pillowcases out with each holiday and/or season. I thought that was an awesome idea. That's one of the projects I def want to do in 2015. Can't wait to get started. As I do mine, I'll post pics for you to see.
I think it's the sweetest thing that Michael helps you with your projects. I really wish I had the patience to make beautiful things like you ! Anyways I enjoy watching your videos : )
I enjoy all of your videos but I gotta say I am loving your series of Winter DIYs! As a native of south Florida, I get teased when I talk about looking forward to "Autumn" or "Winter," but there really IS a subtle change in the seasons, even here...makes me want to winter-ize the decor in my home. :) These turned out stunningly!
That was AWESOME!!! Thank you for sharing, I have been wanting to make pillows just like that but, for the life of me could not think of how to get the snowflake on the pillow! You are a Genius!
These are so cute! Your winter/holiday decor is really coming along! I like the colors you chose, too! I emailed this to my daughter in hopes I'll see a snowflake pillow someday soon! lol
Awesome. I'm not a huge holiday or xmas craft person but I am loving these, they go with my turquoise and silver decorated tree. I also just bought a bunch of different colored sequins and some glass seed beads to put them on like this......but wasn't sure if that was how it was done. Was going to find a tutorial but I don't need to now. Thanks for the idea.
Very Cool! It would also look nice with alternating silver and either gold or metallic blue spray paint at the end of each "arm" of the snowflake, like an ombre effect. Very creative ideas and way to "sew" Michael!
I was looking at some festive pillows tonight - and I did not want to pay $45 for a pillow that looked like it would fall apart. This idea is brilliant! Awesome as always!
Just finished making two of these. They are so beautiful!! Very pleased with the results. I had a little problem with overspray around my snowflake as my Saran Wrap was not secured properly; so I adhered a square of waxed paper over my snowflake and sprayed a border around the pillows. Gorgeous! Thanks so much for the tutorial!! :)
Love seeing ur husband sews!! I would have done the lazy no sew glue with rhinestones instead of hand sewing the sequins. They turned out beautiful!!❄️❄️
Love this! I love anything to do with snow! I have seen those snowflake pillows but they are pricey. I will definitely be trying this project! Thanks SO much!
Love your pillows, look very expensive I saw them on your last video and I was like.. Oh I want some like that and now I know you and Michael made them. Love them...
Wonderful! I agree on how costly throw pillows are in general, let alone these fancy ones. I make all my throw pillows, I recently saw a table runner bought is on clearance for $8 I was able to get three pillows two small ones and one long. Also and this is my Favorite from a fabric shower curtain two 18x18 and I don't know what to do with the rest of it so I'll put it away for now. I'm going to try this diy project and I thank you for sharing it.
I am so glad you made this tutorial! I've been looking at changing my bed set to a winter theme. I made a tufted headboard this summer after seeing your tutorial and it turned out beautiful (my boyfriend, who refurbishes furniture, was very impressed). So I'm sure if I make these pillows they will look great as well!
Christine, Im SO glad to see your videos! for some reason I got unsubbed to a few ppl and you were one of them! SHAMEFUL I tell ya! lol I have some catching up to do!! These pillows do look just like the pricey ones and I love the idea because its harder to find things for me to decorate with that are festive and holiday BUT not screaming Christmas ( Im Jewish) Thank you for this! Kat xx
Plzzzzz do a do one on the pillow you have that looks like the ones you did for the candles. Lol I love your creations. And you make it wayyy easier than other people. I love doing diys and really really want to make that pillow. Thanks :D
Hi Christine ! I love your DIY videos & you are so talented! I think you are a great teacher. You explain things so well. Wish you were nearby in Montreal !!!!!! Your biggest fan forever ! Luv ya ❤️💓
if you use freezer paper for your stencil then you can iron it on and peel it off when you are done painting. I have used it many times on shirts and it seems easier than the wax paper
Your quality is a million times better than the stores! You're awesome!
Michael does all the sewing??? What a man !!! Respect!!! Xxxx
Yessss. Because beauty is indeed in the blueprints or details. Love how beautiful you've made your home even as the seasons change.
I can't believe Michael is sewing! My husband won't sew if his life depended on it. Wish I have a handy hubby like Michael.
I know her husband is so awesome. Such a crafty guy!
Another amazing project! This and the Chandelier have been my favorite and the most original DIYs of 2014! Thanks!
I will be making these today! You are my kind of diva. My husband watched all ur travel videos for hours with me. He sews with me too.
