The chenille stitch is a great way to add texture and interest to your beadwork. In this tutorial, Allie shows us how to create a beautiful flat chenille stitch bracelet. So gather your materials and get ready to create!
    1. Using the Miyuki seed beads suggested, thread your needle and put on a stop bead leaving about 10-12 inches for your clasp at the end.
    2. You can decide on the width of your bracelet by the number of beads you use in the first set. Use the tutorial to learn the chenille stitch. Add the Claspgarten clasp into the design at the ends.
    3. You're now ready to wear your gorgeous flat chenille bracelet! Try using different beads for a new look.
If you're looking for a fun and easy way to add a little bit of personality to your wardrobe, beaded bracelets are a great option! Often given as gifts to loved ones, beaded bracelets are a thoughtful way to show someone you care. PotomacBeads has a great selection of beads to make the perfect flat chenille stitch bracelet.

You are the best teacher on UA-cam. The way how you explain what you are doing is so concise and clear which makes it extremely easy to follow along. I also really appreciate that you add the “why” in each step so it makes it easy to remember the stitches since we know the reason behind where we are going next. Also, this stitch just looks so pretty when finished. ❤

Thank you so very much. Your directions were great, but I was still having trouble. So I finally started over again, very slowly, with you as you beaded and talked. I changed bead color every time you changed something row by row. When you started the repeats, I could finally see them better and your explanations as to what was needed, I finally “got it”. Thanks for your clear explanation. ❤️

Wonderful! So glad you got this! This stitch is a bit more complicated than RAW or Peyote stitch however once it clicks, you know you got it! And like with anything else, the more you do it, the easier it gets. The trick is to never give up! Ever since I learned how to stitch tubular chenille at least 18 months ago, I've wondered how to stitch flat chenille, but I couldn't find a tutorial for it - until now. THANK YOU SO MUCH for posting this terrific tutorial! It really does look simple. Well maybe not simple, but easy enough once learned and in a rhythm. The possibilities for the flat chenille stitch, embellished or not, seem endless depending on the combination of beads used. I can actually imagine a 15/0 on either side of the outer edge 11's for a little more embellishment or bling. Anxious to give this a whirl, esp. since seeing your Winter Blossom bracelet. Thanks again!

Wow! This is beautiful but I’m going to save it until I’m more experienced. I’ve only been beading for a little over a year and even though I was sort of able to follow along, I don’t quite “see” how to do the sides yet. But I know I’ll get there which is why this will go on my list of future projects! Thank you for sharing all levels of designs - I love seeing things like this that give me something to aim for so I can really see the progress I’m making as things click!
Wishing you a Happy and Healthy New Year! 💜

I love this stitch. I followed the tutorial and even bought the same clasp off your site. The bracelet is beautiful but the clasp (I ordered 3 and they're all the same) is very stiff and now I wish I didn't sew it onto my bracelet. I'm going to have to take it apart and start over because the clasp doesn't open very easily AT ALL once the bracket is on. :-(

    • @lexxilove9894

Hello! It can be a little confusing if this stitch is new to you. The important thing is to keep at it and don't give up. A helpful tip - watch the video a few times, then try doing the stitch with the video. Stop or pause the video when you need to. After a while, it will click and you will recognize when the stitch calls for you to add the beads and circle around. Be patient with yourself, you will get it!
