For you young players...listen to altos solo intro at 3:50. That's how you play a melodic embellishment without destroying the sense of melody! His answer to Roy's ending is just simply marvelous! Touched my soul!!!
@@ava_alami idk. He was. Great player but there were so many great trumpet players. Freddie as well. I just think those three and as noted- Lee- were the consistently greatest lyrical players. I am just saying the very best.
