This was live in South Africa .....What a privilege for me to see these two icons on one stage. Chuck Mangioni was an undercard surprised on the evening.
Saw him at Sun City....To Everyone's Surprise Chaka Khan suddenly appeared Mid Concert & Did one Number...WOW !!! The Granny's behind me Almost Fainted with Excitement...I was Blessed...
I am a mostly a fan of heavy metal, but the “collaboration” album by George and Earl has to be in my top-5 favorite albums of all time. I’ve listened and enjoyed so so many times. Never gets old!
Late 80s, when Ibanez guitars got really popular, I always got a copy of their yearly catalog. The strat types always looked cool and had great pickups, etc. But there were always the George Benson signature models, and two things were undeniable: First, I wanted one. Second, even though I was a huge fan, it spoke to how much impact he had. And Ibanez still makes them.
This song, these two phenomenal musicians, their individual skill, talent & passion for what they do, and this vibe together...MAN! AWESOME! George -n- Earl. Hard to get better than this! Smooth, smooth, SMOOTH!!
I've been listening to these two artist for the last 35 years. This kind of Music never ages. It's just as delightful today to listen to as it was 35 years ago.
Isn't that it. Beautiful ❤️. So thankful our children grew up in a home that anything they hear , they've heard it many times before. All types. No computers All real. Instruments.
PIttsburgh’s finest, George Benson❤️ Love “late night with Earl Klugh”... this was another lifetime ago. Music is in the gutter today... Blessing to you, Mr Benson and Mr. Klugh. ❤️🙏🏼
You can be a metal head, rocker, classical whizz kid but when it comes down to Jazz/blues fusion everyone sits down to listen to these two masters of Guitar mastery in its finest.
Two of the greatest guitarists who ever lived!!!! This is my favorite song from one of my all-time favorite albums!!! A beautiful and hypnotic melody!!! Earl is the pied piper on guitar and George is a soulful jazz master!!!
Most folks usually hear clones intstrumentally and not the real soulful masters with their own sounds! Many turn off when they see the complexions too because they'd rather see "others" laying Black musics but those two are the ones that ALL others wished to be as successful!
@Chafungwa Mwansa, sir: this young artist now commenting is just beginning to appreciate what feels like immense talent. I am grateful to be able to listen, to hear.
The best thing is that I didn't remember exact name of this composition nor the album's name, but thanks to mother Nature and my genes, I am lucky to have absolute pitch and I just hummed that tune to Google, and voilà!Google found it for me!
Bought this album when it came out in 1987...could not get enough of it....drove my girlfriend at the time crazy. Was just off the charts, being both a George and Earl fan.....that was almost too much to absorb!

I don´t think I can think of any other guitarist, who could possibly play with so effortless phrasing as George Benson could in his younger days. It is nice too to observe the mutual respect, Benson and Klugh has to each other. Great and timeless music.
Recalling a lifetime of seeing George Benson five times live then buying several albums of Earl Klugh to relax during a professional school of three years where you had to be sharp on your feet made me appreciate these two together that much more so many years ago. Now, it's like reliving the best of memories and looking forward to nothing but the best in music while life gets better, if you act it out well.
This is two amazing talents working together. Earl's harmonies with the lead are terrific. Beautiful sounds, and very very classy. I could listen to this all day. So MUSICAL
