    In this review of the Aventon Aventure 2 ST, we go over the new changes Aventon made to this bike that makes it an even better choice if you’re looking for a commuter e-bike. We also cover the details, including the motor power, battery range, braking performance, gearing, hill climbing ability, and overall ride comfort.
    The Aventure is one of Aventon’s most popular e-bikes. The powerful 750W motor gets you up to safe speeds, the battery range can take you up to 60 miles, the brakes stop safely, and the frame design and seat ergonomics make for a very comfortable ride. The 26” x 4” fat tires give you a very smooth and stable ride, so much so that you will want to ride this bike more and more.
    The addition of a torque sensor replacing the cadence sensor improves this bike’s performance and range immensely. Additionally, Aventon ditched the 5-level PAS this bike used to have and replaced it with an even better 4-level PAS system. Now the motor engages with the rider’s pedaling even better, giving you extraordinary power output, and more efficient battery use for longer ranges.
    This bike sells at an affordable price of $1900, which gives you a lot of value for your money. If you are serious about buying a top quality e-bike for under $2000 then this bike should be on your list to check out.

    I own this model in black and absolutely love it! My injuries prevent me from a traditional bike but this bike has given me back that freedom. Definitely compliments my photography / videography getting from point A to B has been so much fun.

    came across this because i've been looking into e-bikes and what would hopefully fit me. my whole life my entire means of transportation has been crappy cheap-o walmart bikes that i usually have to inspect right after getting because their usually not put together right or finding broken bikes and making a franken-bike... sadly, the last few years I've been stuck at a weight of 300lbs @ 6' 1", and MANY of the places i've lived through out the US(WA, CO, NY, VA) has been VERY hilly... only one place i lived where most of it was somewhat flat ground. so certain specs of this bike was certainly appealing to me, namely the torque and power and weight limits. finding this video kinda gives me hope to this bike. been so use to regular bikes from walmart that the only weight rating on them is on the tires at 198lbs, here i am 300lbs and riding it around and hitting 40mph or faster down hills while usually having a backpack full of stuff, so it's some iffy stuff i deal with when i don't have the means for anything decent... i definitely like you're guy's test on this bike and my only question would be, that hell hill, what would you suspect a 250-300lbs person get out of it? i ask because i'm not there personally to check that hill out and such as the way they look on video vs actually being there are quite hard to tell. but the hills i'm use to, that looks like a normal and frequent type of hill to come across... also, i can't seem to find ANY difference between the step-through and the step-over versions? for me i'd just get the step over as i'm use to it. anyways, great video, very informative.
    i made sure to comment as i'm not the only one i've come across who has some kind of issues with driving a car or can't afford it and so on. there is many out there, like me, where they go to work and grocery shopping by walking or riding a bike and it's usually our only choice. so having a lot of info like this helps a lot as the market is saturated with e-bikes and many fakes or copies and odd brands that's unsure if it'll do ANYTHING it states and so on. so i make sure to do a LOT of research into things i tend to buy when they have a big price tag to them as i don't make much. sadly many of the prices don't help with a bunch of them either since their all over the place and i'm not an ignoramus who goes by the phrase "you get what you pay for" since in my life that has RARELY ever been the case...
    anyways, glad there is a bunch of reviewers for this stuff actually doing PROPER and real world tests.

    A few months ago I got the step over version of this bike. its just a personal problem but I can't over the looks of the step through. I unfortunately bought it too late in the season here so I have put it up and done a few upgrades. probably the funnest was converting the chain to a wax lubricant. it was an involved process but bench testing it seems to be a huge improvement in shifting and just overall drivetrain noise. I added the front rack. A suspension seat post, and new seat. I did manage to get just over 200 miles on the clock before starting upgrades. I am super excited for next season and I will hope for some decent days this winter to get out. I know the bike can do it but this old body prolly can't. Thanks for the Great Video. I too tell everyone that will listen how great this bike is.

    I'm 70 and bought the step over in lg frame . It's my first ebike and I love it. I have added a suspension seat post and adjustable handlebar stem. This is the smoothest bike I ever rode. I used to ride bikes when I was younger but don't have the power I used to have so I tried this ebike and its perfect for me. It will get me home if I get tired and help me going up hill.

    Great review! I got the large frame step through as im about 5'10. I thought I might be too short for the step over. I got it about a month ago for my daily commute. I absolutely love this bike.

    I think this is a decent ebike with a UL approved battery for the money. I love the paint job and overall fit & finish. Great video! The range is not bad, 38mi on Turbo and 53 on Eco for a fat tire heavy bike. What I did not see was the rider weight (payload) when conducting the range test, and was it mixed riding on hills and flat, or only flat ground. A 160lb tester vs. a 200-250lb tester will make a difference, especially if you have hills. Also, what psi was in the tires when testing. The payload capacity is advertised as 400 lbs and I weigh about 295lbs. I am interested to see what I could get on it with a mix of flat and hills, on ECO vs Turbo. The promotion with the second battery eases my range anxiety but I am curious...

    I don't hear much motor whine in the video. Is it just your mic or is this motor quieter than the Aventure 1?

    Hi, I’m looking for an e-bike with a good range and power. I think i would be driving someone else around too and I commute 20 miles on daily. So is there any e-bike that you would recommend?

    I have an aventure 1 and upgraded to an aventure 2. I've noticed that on a couple hills, I'm able to throttle up around 8-9MPH with the Aventure1 but not really able to get up them, or at most get up them at 5MPH. Not sure what's going on as the motor should be the same. Is this something you noticed in testing?

    • @ElectricBikeReport
      @ElectricBikeReport  9 місяців тому +2

      It's a bit more mellow on throttle. They changed settings. Still enough juice to get up hills, but a bit more conservative for better battery life.

    I disagree, this adventure 2 is a tank,weighs a ton of odd weight,forget about easy vehicle transporting unless you purchase a motorcycle cycle lift hitch carrier,bike is well built but damn the weight.
