- This works with any ammo combo and if done with a herb the herb becomes infinite as long as it’s not combined with another. This can also be done at the beginning of the game if you are doing it with the herb.
This can be done on all versions of the game except for the original Dreamcast release.

March 2024; Playing on PS4 - this works, still :) and I used bolts instead of handgun ammo as I had 200+ and hadn't come across this glitch until I'd used all the HG ammo up...
***The glitch will end if you do it before you go back to the prison and give Rodrigo the heamostatic medicine, which swaps the lighter for the lockpick. The Duralumin Case had bowgun bolt powder, which, if you have a neat supply of grenades, you won't really need, though I didn't check another place the lockpick could've been used; I'm guessing that's powder, too.
I'm hoping the exchange is optional, or I'm going to have to reload a loooong way back and then wait until after the exchange to do the glitch.
And don't do it before you have to put metal items in the box ...
After you play chris and then return back to Claire the ammo glitch is gone for me why is that?
@@m-sb9pf Yes, it doesn't last if you do certain things to interrupt it. I picked up the rifle in Antarctica and lost the glitch. Maybe it's something to wait to utilize on a second playthrough just when you really need it. I had a 'card' like the Game Shark you plugged into the PS1 port and could choose particular cheats... I still have it, actually, but my PS1 doesn't want to work right now.
I wish the glitch lasted the whole game, but no.
I did this glitch before, like yesterday or so. It's pretty easy and useful. If you're afraid of dying, find the herbs, mix them, and glitch that way. If you're a survivalist, but need ammo a lot, then this will work too. 👍

Of course. No problem. It is still possible to use this glitch with any version of the game that’s not on Dreamcast. They didn’t fix it even in the HD remaster. Unlike the Resident Evil Remake infinite grenade trick that was patched when they rereleased it to other consoles.

I picked up and saved all the handgun ammo up to this point. Didn’t use the handgun at all during this playthrough.
I have never beatin this game before or played that much I've just seen Steve's dad get killed. I didn't wanna do anything like this till after I've beaten the game once. But I've heard this game soft locks a lot if you have no ammo so I'm doing this 😂😂. Thanks man ❤️❤️🔥🔥
No problem! Don’t forget, you can do it with the green herb for infinite health. Also, if you’re going to do it for a gun, I would say just leave the player manual in the item box before you do throw go the metal detector. You can always come back for it later and that way you won’t accidentally read it before you’re ready

@@dapaintbrush6965 ok so I read about it and I can say that the only thing you need to worry about is storing the fire extinguisher in an item box and not in the box before the metal detector. I’ve played nearly every version of this game since it came out way back in the Dreamcast and I have never been soft locked before. The knife in this game is the best of the entire series. Don’t be afraid to use it in the beginning to save ammo. Also always remember to have multiple save files in case you miss something.
Can this be done with the MP100 twin machine guns ?
Probably not, because 2 slot weapons automatically take the first spot.
Question. So the manual, can it be used once for one weapon or can it be used many times?
You can only use it once. If you have a specific weapon you want to use it with then make sure to collect as much pistol ammo as possible and put your weapon you want and ammo in the same spot as the video. Also make sure to read the file through the file menu instead of selecting the file itself.
The glitch will turn whatever ammo you have in that spot into your main weapons ammo. If you do it with an herb then the herb becomes infinite as long as you don’t combine it with anything. It can also be transferred to Chris for later use.

This makes me wanna restart the game... If I did this on the handgun before I modify it would it still have the ammo glitch after the modification?
I don’t think so but that’s a great question. I’m actually going to play the game again and find out.
Yea it still does but doing the glitch for the handgun doesn’t really make sense unless you’re using the bow gun bolts to give you more handgun ammo

@@rodhernandez3364 there are 2 versions, Code Veronica (Dreamcast) and Code Veronica X (ps2, Game Cube, etc) this version has the manual in the inventory

Do you have to wait for Manuel every cycle to make infinite ammo of all weapons? Also what happened if you put weapon back in storage.
You can only do this once in a playthrough and it does not carry over to the next game. It is ok to store the weapons you use it on. Putting the weapon back in storage does not affect the glitch. Using the glitch to make an infinite herb means you can leave the herb in the box for Chris to pick up later.

Can I change my weapons after the glitch or will that undo the glitch?
Yes you can change your weapon but the the glitched ammo will only work for the weapon you use the glitch on.

It works for everything besides the weapons that take 2 slots.

Ok, yeah it’s tough. Use the bow gun and don’t pick up anything. Bow gun stops zombies in 1 shot and everything else in 3 to 4 shots. When you get to the helipad, don’t move, just start shooting. I just beat it so I’ll post the video in a minute. Good luck.

How to get 450 ammo? Is that possible?
I left the manual in a storage at the beginning of the game and came back to do the glitch. That’s why I have so much ammo. It’s possible to save it up if you stick to the knife for the lower level enemies.

It’s just an ammo glitch not an infinite ammo glitch. You can make infinite herb if you do it with a green herb

it's technically not "infinite" since you need to find a lot of handgun ammo first in order to make use of the weapon of your choice... but still a nice exploit! thx for the upload! 👌🏻
Sure. You really could do it with any ammo type I guess but you’re right it’s not infinite ammo but if you did it with a green herb then the herb becomes infinite.

I've asked Save Wizard for PS4 MAX team to upload Code Veronica X in their set of database, so then people can make use of the save editing feature to give it a god mode, infinite ammo etc. But this is just for fun obviously, for completionists I'd still stick without cheats.

Yes, that’s right. The glitch only makes health infinite if you use an herb. The title of the video is “Ammo Glitch” not “Infinite Ammo Glitch”
