Have been throwing knives/hawks 1 rotation and fairly accurate...Double distance for hawk 2 rotation and it works well.....Haven't mastered no rotation....Time to work on it....[favorite handmade knife and hawk maker: H&B Forge] ;o)

Mate, if UA-cam were available 40 years ago--this would have been my favourite channel by far. Inspired by the movies we watched my friends and I made our own bow and arrows at the age of 10 (dad chopped up the bow and broke the arrows... too dangerous apparently). Made our own throwing knives.... and got a hiding for ruining the kitchen knives. Borrowed dad's shotguns at 12 (without his knowledge of course) and went hunting with a friend. Didn't kill anything, just wanted to see whether things exploded when hit--like they did in the war movies. Kids around the world--appreciate this channel. What a treasure. its actually amazing to see how viable and effective these techiques would have been during the earlier centuries, and they were likely even more proficient since it would have been even more practical.
@mandowarrior123 I'm three years late here, but finding someone proficient in shurikenjutsu would never have been easy, in general. It's a difficult art... much more so than knife throwing... and was never very common. It was something studied by people who were particularly dedicated martial artists, and was almost used as a way of displaying the heights of their martial prowess, so near as we can guess.
He made one already, but with those pocket knifes that unfolds with a button (i don't speak english, i don't know the name of those), but a few distance is enough to those tumble in the air because they lack the weight distribution of a good projectile, need to find somewhere in his video list... Still, would be cool if he could make one with those trowing knifes or with a knife that flies straightly...

Joerg I only found this channel a few days ago and I love it! Reminds me of being a child when I would build all sorts of crazy stuff. One of my all time favourites was the swiss arrow or what we would call the French arrow! We used to mess about with some pretty sketchy stuff for our age! I love this so much, this is pretty much how I taught myself to throw no-spin at age 13. No joke you can find this technique in Ninja lore / literature.
When throwing since you’re right handed, use the left leg to step toward the target not the right leg. You create more power and accuracy in your throw. Just a tip from a baseball player.
Europeans don't do throwing sports aside from what yanks call track and field, so they generally can't throw. Jorge is very coordinated though. Basketball doesn't really count. Watch people throwing rocks at riots, they should kick them instead!

I have always thrown blades like this, I thought I made it up as a kid lol glad to know I continued to practice this same technique, I get same results. Pretty accurate and fun. Great video!

As far as we can tell, samurai all learned to throw knives during the warring period. And war darts are rather common finds in the middle ages.

I have always thrown blades like this, I thought I made it up as a kid lol glad to know I continued to practice this same technique, I get same results. Pretty accurate and fun. Great video!
