That's the wrong way to go at Justice Roberts at this time, perhaps the senate should request SCOTUS reexamine precedent from constitutional perspective and rule only via that, then that will require him to rule in favor of the amendment to overturn previous legislature by former presidents as been done many countless times. Justice Roberts just needs to be reminded that this is duty to follow what the constitution and previous precedent shows to be valid and constitutional not based on current bias or pressure of outside political forces. Replacing Roberts or Gorsuch isn’t going to happen anytime soon. Roberts is only 65 years old. Gorsuch is only 52 years old. Supreme Court Justices have lifetime appointments with no retirement age. Most sit until they are in their 80’s or die in office. So short of a major illness or accident both will be on the bench for decades to come.

Then send it to the states and 38 would have to agree to the change. Even with an amendment it most likely wouldn’t be retroactive and would apply to anyone new who is appointed after the amendment was passed which still wouldn’t apply to Roberts or Gorsuch.
