Good video and information. I ordered mine about 2 years ago, back when their wait time was over a year. It took a year and a month to get to me. However that was also before they increased their prices, so it was super hard but worth the wait. Except for the wait, i also was impressed with their customer service, in that right at that time, there was new gun laws looming in my state, and I contacted them asking to expedite. They ended up moving me ahead of some other orders to get me a gun before anything happened. A year prior when i had ordered it there was no laws looming, so that was a stressful time not knowing if it would be able to get it in time. Anyways, glad to hear that their wait time is better now! PS- Bronze watch?

I only have a couple of mags through it so far, as it is just toooo pretty ;-) and i have many other shooter AKs that make it to the range. I know some folks like to look down on the ‘faux’ battlefield finish, however i have plenty of actual battlefield worn AKs, and this one is just so unique and cool looking! Went all out on my build, with the ALG trigger, KNS piston etc, and it is dialed in, almost zero recoil. Nice on the Oris! That is an awesome watch, and i love the green on bronze look, especially once it is patinaed. Kinda like a ‘battlefield’ look on a gun LOL! The green strap with the bronze caught my eye as i have a Christopher Ward C60 Ombré Bronze Green, which looks to have an almost identical green strap as the one you were wearing. I alternate between that and a couple of Zelos bronze watches- skyraider bronze skeleton. Something about that bronze ;-). Nice combo between bronze patina watches and battlefield AKs ;-)

So they completely refinish the rifle’s after building them. After doing the complete refinish, they apply a cerakote finish to mimic a “battlefield pick up.”
I’m trying to understand where 5+ months is acceptable? Seems their parts kits are of low quality which is concerning because barrels can be trash. Specially in 5.45… Don’t see divots in the receiver which tells me it doesn’t have any swell necks.. why were the mags added? Is the magwell sloppy as is the case with most cheap kits?
The advertised build time on the sight when ordering was 24-36 weeks, so it’s completely acceptable? The barrels are brand new. Parts are Romanian and are quality. No idea what you’re talking about for “divots.” The mags were sent with the gun as a bonus for it being worked on when the firing pin retaining pin failed and was fixed. There is nothing sloppy about the rifle, as stated in the video. Did you even watch it?
@BattleBean762 as far as I know the volk s does. But when I did my options list I opted for the kns piston unless they changed it and going with that. I'm gonna ask and see
This is the price of fully USA made AK rifles. It’s not cheap running a small firearms business, not to mention in California… while trying to maintain your own in-house supply chain… They back this thing for life so I’m glad they addressed all of your issues. Try getting that service from Century 😂

Wouldn't waste any more of my money on Zastava, the Zpap I had was so over-gassed the carrier was beating itself to death, even with a KNS piston. Not to mention the pictures going around of them having soft metal. I've heard the M70's are decent now though. But Yugo add-ons can make things tough. I don't have any experience with Riley. I've heard mixed things. WASRs are typically functional but certainly not as nice as this. Bells and whistles aside, the pestilence is much better built, I've shot a ton of WASRs. I actually had a Romanian PSL that was very well done as well so I don't bash Romanian stuff. As stated in the video, I know people hate on these builds and I totally get it. Your comment isn't anything I haven't heard yet or read on other Meridian videos. I was obviously okay with the wait time, that's why I bought it and why I didn't trick out a WASR. And don't worry about me, I still had other AK's to "shoot all summer." What can I say, the heart wants what it wants. It's okay if you don't want it too.
No, they dont. If you find it please send me the link. The only Ultimak railed guns they sell are VSKA's. Really hope you don't buy one of them. I don't see any 14.5" builds either. They do sell a BFPU-style AK that is a 16" with the normal front sight-post way out front and all wood furniture. It's certainly not "the same gun." but by all means, if that does it for you, you should buy it! I've had multiple PSA AKs that have worked pretty well. Although I got a Romanian RPK kit built from them that was awful, the barrel was actually pressed in crooked. I had to push the front sight way over just to get on paper. I'm all set paying PSA $1650 for a build that wouldn't even work. And my PSA 74 trunnion was shaving away. Hopefully, they actually release the Krink model they promised 3 shot shows ago. They are a good company and are releasing some cool stuff, and the fact they are making com-bloc ammo is awesome.

Pricey for sure. I'll be the first to admit they are overpriced. And I was disappointed with the issue I had basically out of the box, hence making the video. But with even more rounds on it now, it's a very nice gun. Could I replicate something similar for less money, absolutely, but, I just wanted it. I think their other builds like the VOLK make more sense as far as what you're getting for the money.

Just curious is the barrel hammer forged? They are great guns and they do know what they’re doing but very there
I believe they are hammer forged but nitrided, not chrome lined. I could be wrong though.

You mean like when you pull it back? No it does not, action is very smooth. The enhanced safety adds a hold open though which is nice.
