- Fairfax Falls on the Lamoille river is an impressive, 88 foot water with a hydro dam. It once housed Vermont's only underground powerhouse, back in 1908 but was replaced in the 20's and since modified. While many months of the year the falls are somewhat low in flow, due to the power facility, this was taken shortly after a flooding event and another sizable storm. Which was creating a large amount of overflow down the falls. I hope you enjoy! ~ Eric

thank you and ahhhh dam!!! I thought those were in the southern part of the state somewhere?! Now I have to look it up. lol Shoot. I went 104 and never drove by it. Looks like I'm going back there again this year! 😆🙌
