Hello and welcome to my channel! I fell in love with photography about 5 years ago and when I found out I could also fly a camera around; a new love was formed! These are my video adventures around my home state of Vermont. I hope you enjoy and don't forget to subscribe for more adventures! Thank you!

The Floating Bridge 4K
The Floating Bridge in Brookfield on Sunset Lake. The original bridge was built in 1820 but was redone many times and again in 2008. This is now the 8th bridge. The depth is around 120 feet and that is why it was built as a floating bridge.
It used to have standing (and sometimes flowing) water down the bridge lane. I can remember going there as a kid and we would stop in the middle to open the doors and check the water. 😅
You'll also notice there's no shortage of fishing gear stranded in the power lines and it's been this way since I was a kid! 🙈😆

Little River State Park / Waterbury reservoir. Built in the 1930s to control flooding along the Winooski, it covers 850 acres of land and can hold up to 100 feet of water. They were letting out water at what I'm assuming is near wide open and there was still plenty of water to fill the 80', ledge waterfall/overflow. We've had a lot of rain lately and I was hoping it would be. Pretty interesting...

It's a good sunrise spot. And just down the road is a good sunset spot too.
oh yea, I bet it is! The state park side heads right up that hill and is facing East! Allis State park. Couldn't remember the name. lol I've never been up through there or the Barre tail system up by the quarries. I didn't even know about them.

Hello! I'm assuming you mean at the big reservoir near the end? I know that one was built for flood prevention, so they don't want to let a lot out at once but it will overflow down the falls, if it gets high enough. That town actually flooded some this time. The upper section of it had a few feet of water in the streets! 😬

Yes it is and thank you! It's crazy to see the power of water. These tiny streams just cut deep and wide. Within a matter of hours too. Took out dirt and pavement, with ease. 😬

Thank you and it's definitely a fun one! Learned a bit of a lesson on this one. I bought motor guards and it seemed stable on my test but when I got there, it wouldn't stay still very well. Lost a bunch of pics. Took them off and it's fine again. Whoops. lol
@@VermontDroneAdventures-yw6fc yeah with all the trees covered in leaves the gos down in there isn't the best. The mini 3 and 4 handles it ok but Mavic Air goes wild down in there haha
@@HikeFly22 ahh you have that issue too! Yea I still can't say for certain it was those guards on there or if it was just the water. Usually, it'll settle in at a height and I can get long exposure. Or I find a rock sticking up and the sensors like those. lol I take it the Mavic has more sensors and that's why?
@@VermontDroneAdventures-yw6fc the Mavic Air have same amount of sensors as the mini 3 pro but it's older technology.

@@DroseMr 🤣 that's funny! I didn't know a thing about filming before I got this flying camera. I saw the pics people were getting though and once I realized it was a pretty high quality camera, I was sold. lol Now I want even more capabilities up there but my next move is upgrading my land camera. With the Theta+ app!! Take a 360 pano than in the app there's an option for animation. You choose your own "route" for the clip or choose a preset. Pretty fun!

@@VermontDroneAdventures-yw6fc yessir. If we had 8k we prob could crop anything regardless as long as not too tight or if drones shot open gate🤪 shorts would be intrestin in portrait. My 4k crop 16.9 looks like 360 p on short reframed🤮.Thank You
@@DroseMr Good to know! I'm still learning a lot about video and have been a photographer up until this year. I haven't tried recropping with the PC but just shoot in portrait for the shorts I've done. Ill have to play around with it some more. You're welcome too! TY! 😎

Thank you and you're welcome! Lots of beautiful, old buildings here in the east. Most of the older ones around here are from the early 1800's and some late 1700s. Really cool doing work on those buildings too. I've found newspaper in the walls from way back during renovations. All the builders back then signed the inside of the walls too. Anyway, hope you're having a good one! 🙂
