My family and I just got back from Disney World yesterday and I wanted to say a big thank you for all your help in our preparation! We also saw you at the opening night of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, but didn't want to interrupt! What a rainy night indeed! Thanks for your wonderful coverage and explanations of all things Disney. All your videos are very useful and a joy to watch!
Not christmas related but seriously I owe you all the biggest thank you! I was so overwhelmed by everything but using all of your advice I got to see all the shows and ride all the rides that I wanted to! Thank you so so much!
Hey Rob, we are planning a trip to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party next year, so was wondering if this will be updated in the next year or so? Cheers!
Seasons greetings!! 🎄 Read to the end for an amazing story! 😳 I just did two days on our first trip to WDW for our 50th birthday, just as a couple. Day 1: Epcot then DAK. i implemented the Genie + strategy : I got a virtual queue for Cosmic Rewind and as you suggested I asked to wait for row 9. AMAZING &FUN RIDE! My boyfriend was impressed that I knew to ask for for 9!😉 I also got a LL Ratatouille for 9:05am!! I then got an ILL for Flight of Passage for my Park hopper at 2pm and with LL I got on Soaring in Epcot (FUN), and Everest at DAK and Na’vi river after Flight of Passage (our FAVORITE ride of all parks). Such a beautiful park and we arrived just for the last live parrot flight performance- highly recommend it wow!! 🤩 Despite the rain, had a great time, and unwound at Nomad Lounge outside under heat lamps! Day 2: only at Hollywood Studios. We decided to arrive late, as only wanted to do the 3 Star Wars rides (any others were bonus) and live shows and early dinner reservations at the Brown Derby. 🤠 After booking at 7 am a Tower of Terror LL (it was open and closed in the day so I got a special LL), I knew I had 1.5 hours to try for a ILL for the Resistance so I meditated to manifest that I would get my wish. But no ILL for 30 stray minutes and on-and-off all day. Park was packed. So my strategy was to wait to park closing but by 6:30pm we were losing steam and my Smugglers Run was at 7:05. I decided to go to the queue of the Resistance, it was at 95 minutes, but it clashed with the Smugglers’ run. So we passed waiting….then a man approached us, he had seen us and offered us to join his group as he had 2 spare ILL passes as two members (including a 6yo) had decided to go back to the hotel. Wow!! Massive gratitude 🙏 to that family and to the ✨Universe ✨in coordinating this beautiful synchronicity!! Merry Xmas!! Hohoho Thank you 🙏 🙏🙏🙏 for your wonderful and intelligent and fun videos!!! ❤️❤️❤️
We just got back from Disney a few days ago and I can say that all of your videos were so much help. Especially how to rope drop. My nephew and I were the 1st in line at Hollywood Studios and were able to rope drop Slinky Dog, Aerosmith (although it shut down) and Millennium Falcon, before we met up with everyone else for Tonga toast.. Thanks again for all the help
Hi Christopher! Nicely done 🙌 That sounds like it was a perfect start to the day (especially since it included Tonga Toast - 😋) Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to let us know how your trip went - we really appreciate it!
Heya! We were there that first thursday party too! Had a great time on our trip and wanted to give a big thanks for all your tips! They really helped us figure out how to navigate the parks and get the most out of our vacation!
Hi Jessica! Sorry to hear you were there for such a rainy night, but hope you still manage to have a holly jolly time! Thanks so much for making our videos and part of your trip, so glad to hear you had a great vacation. 😃
I believe this was from last week Nov. 10 I saw you walk by at one point but I didn’t stop you as you looked on a mission. Lol. My family and I had a great week there last week despite the tropical storm, thanks to you and your videos leading up to our trip. Your videos were very helpful. I appreciate your knowledge and hard work.
Hi Jeff! We filmed on two nights (Tuesday and Thursday). I feel like I’m always on a mission when I’m making these videos. 😂 So glad to hear you had a great trip in spite of the storm craziness. 😀
Thank you so so much for doing all these amazing videos. My siblings and I watched all of them to get prepared for our trip, we came back last week and we couldn’t be happier, your videos helped us a lot!! I remember I was totally lost when I started searching for Disney genie guides, I watched a lot of videos from different channels without success, but when I came across this channel I knew it was the right one!! 👍👍You really made our vacation!! We even got the chance to meet you at the parks and you were very kind with us!! I’m very happy we could thank you in person cause you really deserve it! Please keep on doing this cause it really helps making the Disney vacations even more magical, you are the best WDW guide!! Greetings from Argentina!! 😀⭐️✨
Thanks so much! It was lovely meeting you and it’s always fun to discover that people are discovering our videos in other countries around the world. 😃
Thank you for another wonderful video! We have never been to Disney during the most magical time of the year, but you made it look so magical and now we might have to go some day. Oh and the food and snacks, it looks so good!!!
Hi Diana! It’s my favorite time to be here. Especially if you can come in early November or that lull after Thanksgiving weekend. Thanks for watching! 😃
Hello! It varied pretty greatly depending on the time. Later in the night, everything was close to a walk-on. Lines were long before the park closed to everyone, but got shorter within an hour or so. I’d say budget 30 minutes for the big ones if you want to do them earlier during the party. Mad Tea Party and Speedway didn’t seem to have long lines at any point that I saw, but I was only over there occasionally.
Great video as always!! What is the weather normally like when it isn't a tropical storm lol I am coming end of November early December and I have no idea what to pack! Lol Thanks!
It’s been all over the map. Be prepared for hot days (shorts and short sleeves) but also some cooler days where you might need a sweater or light jacket. It was cold enough for a sweater the other night, but you would have been baking in it yesterday. 😂
Rob you made me feel crazy the first time I saw this then went to comment and i got an error. And it wasn't in my library as watched, I wanted to see the treat reviews again so I was planning on a second watch anyway 🙃 now I see I was not just imagining it! Dec 2 is my party day for my daughter's 7th birthday, we're going to let her pick what to do but I've been doing my research on the included treats, wouldn't call them free tho lol 😆 hope you had a great time, looks like it! Do you ever choose to just relax at these parties, attend and not film? I hope you find a good balance for yourself anyway, I appreciate you!
Sorry about that! We realized that we had the starting time wrong and had to do a mad scramble to fix it. 🤣 We went to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary one night just for fun, but since we’ve already done this one twice, I don’t think we’ll have a “just for fun” night. That said, I always have fun in the parks - even when we’re “working”. 😃
Awww, looks like you guys had a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS 🎅 awesome time!! I know I say this lot, but Thank you for making us here at home feel like we're right there having hot coco and eating a frosted gingerbread cookie with you. Me and the Fiance have a long way to go b4 our honeymoon trip, but your videos warm my heart and inform my brain..lol.
Thanks so much, Kim! Glad to hear our video gave you a holly jolly vibe. Hope your trip is as spectacular as you imagine (or more so!) when you come to visit. 😃
I have so many questions for you… 1. Do you have a video specific for Christmas time at WDW? Not just for the merry Christmas party but advice for this very crowded time? 2. For Genie +, we are a family of 5. I watched your videos about genie+ and wondering if you are more likely yo get LL opportunities with a smaller party? Either at the 7am or later in the day doing the “slots” as you say. Which I love this analogy😊. Should we consider breaking up our group though yes still using one device and one account to manage? It will be my husband and myself and 3 teenage children. Can we have account privileges for more than one in our party ? Say on a certain park day we agree we will mostly split up for the day, can we be that flexible allowing the kids to do their own LL? 3. We are going during Christmas week. How will just the increase in crowds be compared to what we see in your videos even for this month? At the early entry can we expect even more people up so early. As you can imagine my time on the Facebook pages has got me thinking it will be another level of crowded beyond anything I can imagine. Will they really NOT be running at rope drop? I guess I just have this built up fear / paranoia about the insane crowds. 4. I love your video on how to relax and get rides in and go with the flow. I want yo be able to enjoy the magic of the Christmas decor and ride layovers and Christmas treats - etc. so I need a specific video just for the week from Christmas through new years. Love your videos and your amazing helpful attitude
Hi Cerry! First off, thanks for watching and for these great questions. 1. We’re working on two new Christmas videos right now and hope to have them up in the next couple of weeks. 🤞 2. Hello! We get this question a lot and so we actually included a detailed explanation of how this works in our original Epcot genie video - ua-cam.com/video/Q2iNrCOPonY/v-deo.html The short answer is that you will see the exact same return times that we do whether you are a party of 1 or a party of 12. Unlike FastPass before it, Genie doesn’t make it more difficult for large parties to book Lightning Lanes. That said, if it makes more sense for your party to split based on the things everyone wants to ride, that can be a smart move so everyone can do what they want. 3. It will be more crowded than anything we have shown in a video to date. That said, the same strategies will apply, you’ll just need to adjust your expectations for how early a return time you should aim for and how long you should play the slots (budget more time and respond to what you’re seeing to adjust your strategy to what seems possible). There will be more people at all times of the day. It’s still incredibly fun, though. My favorite trip to the parks before we started making videos was Christmas of 2019. It was insanely packed, but we still managed to do lots of rides at 4 parks in just 2 days - and the whole experience was really magical in spite of the chaos. 😂 4. One of the videos we are making is the top 10 things to do when you are here for Christmas. That should help a lot with this question. Have a great trip and happy holidays!
I don't know if it will work out. I didn't buy thr after hours party butI booked skipper canteen at 6:30pm. I figured by the time we get done the parade should start. Then we can work out way out and by that time I am thinking we might catch the fireworks.
Hello! I imagine they are going to pretty much escort you out of the park when you leave Skipper Canteen, but I could be wrong. They do have a LOT of Cast Members stationed everywhere that just check wristbands and make sure everyone without one heads directly to the exit. Good luck and let us know how it goes. 🍀
@@EarScouts we left at 6pm. It was to long a day. But all you had to do is stand in the jungle cruise line and you would be stuck there for 2 hrs. It was crazy. MK needs to shut the line down when it gets to be over an hour wait time. A woman collapsed after she got off the boat. Probably because she was standing so long then her legs went numb. They had to bring her a wheel chair. By the time we got to thr front they said thr line was 140 minute wait. Insane.

Yes you need to go! It's the ONLY time we go to Disney! You seriously feel like you're getting a 2fer deal if you love Christmas decorations and lights as much as we do!
Hey! I thought that you had to have a park ticket in addition to a party ticket but not a park pass reservation? Am I mistaken? Please clarify :) thanks!!
Definitely not! Only spend your hundreds of dollars on a park ticket for the day (open until 6:00) or for the party (4:00 until either 11pm or midnight). If you really want to be there for 14+ hours you could pay for both, but you don’t have to!
No. We were on the people mover and you were walking under us. I looked for you after that but it was dark and crowded. We had a blast. Best ending to our vacation.
Yep! Our genie plus worked only until 5:30🤪
Hi again, Leslie! Thanks so much for letting us know. That was my guess, but it’s good to have it confirmed. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for watching! 😃
Rob I’m curious how Tron will be handled this year during the parties. I know you’ll check it out/ let us know!
Thank you for clarifying! I am excited to see this video as we will be there next month! Thanks for the best videos ever!
Thanks so much, Dana! Hope you have an amazing trip!

Where does the Christmas parade begin at?
Hi, my name is Paofah. I have been watching your vdos on youtube. They’re amazing and very informative.
We are going to WDW in the next two weeks. We will have 2 days for WDW and we have bought the Park hopping tickets. (We have been to WDW 5 years ago and already did to Magic Kingdom and Epcot. Our focus is for Animal Kingdom and Hollywood studio as we’ve never been there)
I would like to ask if we plan to hop, is
5 Dec: Animal Kingdom + MK
6 Dec: Hollywood + Epcot
Is that a good combination?
And, for Hollywood + Epcot which one should be in the morning (I’ve never been to Hollywood before as mentioned however I wanna do Remy, Frozen, Guardian of the galxy.. we are not staying in Disney hotel) Thank you for your help
Hello Paofah! I think we answered this through Facebook. Thank you so much for watching.
Super helpful as always! Thank you!
Thank YOU for watching! 😀

Thanks so much for saying hello! It’s always great meeting new people in the parks and we’re so glad to hear you had a great time in Magic Kingdom. 😃
Where is the best place to see the fireworks show for the party. And best place to sit for the parade? TIA
Hi Nicole! I would say you want a little distance from the castle for the fireworks - at least beyond the statue of Walt and Mickey. For the parade, I preferred watching it on Main Street the second night. The decorations on Main St made the perfect backdrop. Thanks for watching! 😃
Can you get a virtual que for TRON at the christmas party?
Hello! Yes, you can - and we’ll have a new Very Merry video out tomorrow or Wednesday at the latest! Thanks for watching! 😃
Love the outfit! ❤️💚❤💚

Yes you need to go! It's the ONLY time we go to Disney! You seriously feel like you're getting a 2fer deal if you love Christmas decorations and lights as much as we do!
I agree with Salty Girl - Disney is the most magical during the holidays. Also the most crowded, but it’s worth it. 😄

No. We were on the people mover and you were walking under us. I looked for you after that but it was dark and crowded. We had a blast. Best ending to our vacation.
I thought you could in at 4:00… it’s 3:00?! Yayyyy
Hi April! No - it is 4pm. That was my error. So sorry about that.
What time do the overlays begin?
Hi Elizabeth! Jingle Cruise is available all day. The others start when the party starts at 7pm. Thanks for watching! 😃
