most of the space-saving furniture comes with a hefty price tag if I have that much money, space isn't a problem I can afford a big house

That gravity chair was the best. The expandable tables although expensive, are very good ideas for condo living. That is if you can afford them.

Exactly. These are definitely going under ART piece collection for those who have huge amounts to spend for such things. But we have to give it to designers though. These are incredible masterpieces.
ever heard of places like Singapore, Hong Kong, Tokyo? Even the most expensive place there doesn't have much space.
Depends if they live in a city centre where the housing costs get more expensive for less space. But in my opinion a lot of them where very over priced, when you think of the materials used. Basically you're paying for the design effort.
@@TheaDragonSpirit Yes. Because as we all know- designers don't have to eat or have a roof over their head during this phase of designing their work....So that cost should NEVER be included in the cost of any final product! That is just done for charity! LOL!
I mean a lot of these things are a thing u only buy once every 30 years so...bet they hold longer than ikea stuff...And a chair for 8-16 persons for 800 dollar is not much..Just imagine how many single chairs would cost xD
Ok. So some of these combine utility and aesthetics spectacularly; but way too many just go for unnecessary aesthetics at the cost of utility (and cost way too much to boot). Like, why would you need a wavy cabinet? Would it not be a pain to try to open it wide?
Also, I'm 100% sure that these fancy designs wouldn't last as long as a simple designed one because there are so many moving delicate parts.
Eventually those joints and struts and what not are going to ruin the function of the piece as a whole.
The staircase storage is brilliant. Sometimes the simplest ideas are the most impressive :)

Amazing! I really like the Fletcher Capstan Table. My Daddy was an artisan when it came to wood and furniture. I wish he could have seen it.
Imagine being on that rocking bed with your partner and you’re about to fall asleep and then bam!! They turn over and you feel like you have just fell off a building....
Imagine sleeping on the bed and then your two small children run in and swing on it to wake you up !
I get seasick in a hammock - I sure couldn't make it in that bed...
And what if you want to rock and he doesn't?

I know and a lot of people here in the comments seem to think that's a high price. I was surprised by how inexpensive most of these were. It's still a lot of money, but for the beauty and design of these things, I would have thought some of them would be even more. I paid $5000 for my large sectional couch for example. That's just how much things are.
That's why I usually have second hand furniture, thrift shop, or some things I can get new and cheap at chapter 11 store or Marden's in Maine.

The 'abyss table' is my fav.. functional and gorgeous. I'd have to put a model of one of the deep sea exploration vehicles at the bottom though with LED navigation lights.😁
The chairs that look like art pieces would make a small waiting room into a room to hold many, and I love the concept of the hush pod but if I had plenty of money, and lets face it, you'd have to be rich to afford any of these pieces, my favourite for sheer beauty has to be the last round expanding table. I think I'd wear it out in the first few days just opening and closing it, it is so lovely.

Look up poured resin or epoxy tables, you can make one pretty easily for a couple hundred, instead of paying $25k. There are tons of tutorials on how to do it, pretty easy too

Gravity balans helps my mother a great deal with her back pain. Bought a used one for less than 300 Euros.
They're truly incredible. They feel neat regardless but as one who suffers from back pain, they're indescribably life-changing.

I am impressed with the versetality of these unique pieces of furniture. However, as someone who is deathly afraid of water (having escaped drownding) any furniture featuring water themes is not an option.
I love the Pop-up forniture, if this could be made in aluminium or something like that would work I think, well, I love the idea.
I want to thank you for changing the "Amazing" cartoon guy at the beginning so that he is not as loud. I used to mute the video until after he yelled because I found it very unpleasant. Now I think he's kinda' cute.
Amazing what free thought creates. The Fletcher table is gorgeous, but must commend all the artist's shown, for their ability to visually promote the future.

When I saw the foam cabinet and shelves, the first thing I thought was hiw you could NOT have any pets or kids with those in the home. They would be destroyed and dirty so easily.... All chewed up and gross looking and they're already droopy too. Lol
On the up side, if you have a kid that likes to climb on everything, it won't hurt them when it falls over.

That last ROUND table is my favorite!!! If it wasn't too expensive, I might own it!!! Furniture should NOT be so expensive. It doesn't give the working class people a chance to own unique furniture!!! And saving for one of those more expensive ones may take years. By that time SOMETHING NEW would be on the market!
I love the creativity, I especially love the Fletcher Capstan Table, however many of the designs (especially the ones incorporating slats or honeycombs) appear to be a nightmare to keep clean. I just imagine the dust or spills. But, again, I think they're all ingenious!
