- In this episode of BlacktipH, Josh joins Eric Haataja in Milwaukee to go ice fishing for giant brown trout. This was Josh's first ice fishing adventure. The temperature and snow were brutal, reaching below -25. Josh ended up catching four giant brown trout and a few sucker fish.

I love how careful and attentive Eric was to the fishes health. I cant stand when people are grabbing every fish by the gills and keeping them out of the water longer than needed just to take some stupid number of pictures. Props to him.

2 weeks before you came me and 2 buddies caught our pb browns there too. 19lbs,19lbs, and 16.5lbs. The only difference is that we worked for those fish and didn't have have a guide put them put into our hands.
Victor Dobak Josh does have guides in most of his vids but in this case it makes perfect sense. He's from Florida and has never ice fished before. Going with a guide and learning the right way is perfectly acceptable in this case.

Fishing on Lake Michigan is awesome. I went to New Buffalo, Michigan on a charter last year and caught tons of Rainbow and 1 Brown trout

I personally don't fish on anything less than 1ft of ice. Mostly for peace of mind for me and my parents. And also because I can, that ice will exceed 3ft before the end of the season. I really have to invest in a power auger...
Also, a towel is a must out there. Gotta dry those hands off asap

I've watched you fish saltwater and fresh but have never seen you catch a small fish. I swear that was the biggest big Mac I've ever seen. Pretty weird seeing you in cold weather. I was hooked on your videos since I saw you take the time to show that little kid how to cast when you were with Rob and Mike. I know you joked about going on the flw tour but I honestly think you'd slay on your. This was one of your better videos, and that's saying something.
