  • Knowledge regarding prevention of injuries in handball has improved a lot the last 10-15 years. Today we know more about who is injured and how the injury happens. Knee injuries, in particular ACL, represent by far the largest share of severe injuries. Given the fact that injuries do not only affect a person physically, but also mentally, it is important that handball clubs focus more on how to prevent injuries. 🩹
    One way to do prevent injuries is to introduce structured warm-up program, including agility, balance, strength 💪 and playing technique exercises. Big studies indicate that a structured warm-up can reduce injuries with up to 50%.
