Nah, I think Natasha totally could have killed her. She actively avoids doing so at the beginning of the scene (“Stay. Down.), but when Natasha sees that Yelena’s playing to kill, she amps it up. And the thing is, no matter how, Natasha was conditioned to kill just like Yelena was (and, actually, I’m betting Yelena was being conditioned in the same way Natasha was at first, too - I doubt it took Melina less that 1-2 years to come up with the formula). Yelena was not only pissed and hurt - she was a Widow. And, consciously, Natasha didn’t want to kill Yelena, but she was a Widow. When a Widow is in a fight like that one, the conditioning takes over - it’s kill or be killed, no matter the target (see: the slowdown and face-up as they both stand after the fight in the kitchen). Seeing her baby sister actively suffocating to death because of her actions is what snapped Natasha out of it, and Yelena followed her lead (she’d always trusted her big sister, after all). Some might say the goal was to make her look vulnerable and soft in this particular film, but she was the most badass female character in the first movies, which we all loved. Our great Black Widow.
I believe you are missing the point that she was only trying to kill Dreykov in the movie, the rest of those she fought to her were his victims and even though she wasn't going all out, in the final fight between her and the widows she neutralized temporarily like 10 or more of them, that was completely badass. In this fight Yelena is afraid of Natasha and Natasha wasn't trying to really hurt Yelena, the proof is when she tells her to stay down in the beginning (0:15-0:18), she didn't really want to hurt her and she calls a truce because she is seeing that Yelena won't do it and she was strangling her. She could have easily killed her if she wanted too, she just didn't want to.

i dont know why people call marvel fight scenes bad lol like i saw a tiktok comment saying that, ppl always try to be different cuz idc i love marvel fight scenes especially natashas cuz shes actually just a human
Does anyone know the name of the music in this scene?
Maid:(Knock knock) I'm here to clean your roo........ bruh
What is the background music name of this sence?
I really regret not asking my theater for a may 1st 2020 poster.
Wonder how much that'd be worth nowadays
Wdymmm??
It reminds me Kill Bill kitchen fight
It’s like Jason Bourne vs Aaron Cross. Scarlett being Bourne and Florence is Cross
Sucks that the song in the background wasn’t released on the soundtrack 😢
0:20 DAMN!!! It felt real!!!
what's the music playing while they're fighting in the apartment?
Me and my sister fight like this too
Bourne Identity type vibes 💯
This is like Black widow Steve Yelena bucky
The exact scene was in Marvel Future Fight 😂😂
best part of the movie
What if one of them just shot in the opening standoff lol
I don’t get why they started fighting. Natasha said she knew the antidote was from her sister, so obviously something is going on and she’s not “brainwashed”, or anything like that if she’s asking for her help, and yelena asked for her help so why are they so surprised to see the other and unsure if they can trust them or not.
The first part this posting of the fight was cut you can see it on other people’s uploads of full scene where Natasha and yelena said they had guns out bc they didn’t know if they could trust each other and that makes sense bc nat got sent a pack of red gas she knew nothing about and yelena literally just got out of brain wash and the red room after it being 20 years
@@ah.05 if yelena didn’t know she could trust Natasha why did she send her the all of the antidotes?
@@Insanepie they said she didn’t think Natasha would come there so she probably was just mad she came because to her she got abandoned again bc Natasha was a shield agent for years then became an avenger and never bothered to look at where yelena was in life during those years
@@ah.05 it’s true she never bothered to look for her… kinda not cool of Natasha. But why would yelena try and kill her? she still needs her to do the antidote thing?
@@Insanepie i don’t think yelena was going to kill her she probably still just wanted to hurt her
1:00 good grief!!!!!
Yelena Belova siad Natasha changing my mind not my partner anymore McKenna is my partner No I did it you died Natasha is died ok let's go ok McKenna let's go I just leave ok let's go ok let's go ok
Here’s a good question about this fight…
_Why is Yelena trying to stab Natasha for a friendly brawl?_
They tried to kill each other for far less in the Comics. One time Spider-Man had interfere so that don’t kill each other over a remote
Which ended in a Threesome between them
It was it was pretty obvious that they could bring back black widow of course she didn't die the end game it was easy for her
This is definitely one of the best fights in the MCU, people are 😴
So they are sisters?
I dont get why the were fighting can someone explain it
Natasha was so weak in this movie. Her fighting prowess was a lot less remarkable than in previous movies. That is something I DID NOT like about her character development in the last few years given she was a great fighter initially.
Because they changed stunt doubles
@@realdavidjones1623 They didn't. Heidi Moneymaker had been her double for years by the time they made this movie.
Why are they fighting? can someone explain?
Nat said she’d get Yelena out of the Red Room, got out, and 20 years after they last saw each other, Yelena gets out on her own. Plus, adult relationships are complicated.
@@calebwatson5102 so Nat promised to get her out and then abandoned her?
@@Insanepie In a nutshell, yes.
@@calebwatson5102 damn thought she was a good guy
@@Insanepie Oh she is. She just has a checkered past.
okay, fight.
Black Widow needs to become catholic, so you can break free of The Scarlet Witch.
So what was the purpose of that fight? Why were they doing this?
first time they saw each other since natasha got out and never went back for her, nat also didn’t know if yelena was safe / not mind controlled
Yeah..they don't trust each other yet...
Why were they even fighting if they’re sisters? I’m confused
the boss from metal gear snake eater would kill them
Tbh this fight and the taskmaster bridge fight we’re great. The rest. Not so much lol
Yelena😍
So why are they fighting?
So why was Yelena fighting Nat when she needed her help
Nah, she's venting her anger for not having seen Nat in two decades.
To be continued
Yelna is crul
