- In the Week 5 showdown between the Baltimore Ravens and the Cincinnati Bengals, the Ravens pulled off a thrilling 41-38 overtime victory. Lamar Jackson was outstanding, throwing for 348 yards and four touchdowns while adding 55 yards on the ground. The game went back and forth, with Joe Burrow delivering a strong performance for the Bengals, throwing five touchdown passes. However, Baltimore's defense stepped up late in the game, with Marlon Humphrey securing a critical interception.
The game ended with a 24-yard field goal by Justin Tucker in overtime after a 56-yarder sent the game to extra time. This AFC North battle was a high-scoring shootout and is being hailed as one of the best games of the season

Kevin Harlan's play calling is a delight. I was so glad he called this game. I thought both guys were even-handed and fair. Criticizing and praising both teams where and when appropriate.

Adams is 32 years old my dude... He isn't fast anymore like the GB days, last season and this season he averages 2.2 YAC. He still has great hands, but we don't seem to have a drop problem with what we have already. He wants to waste the rest of his maybe 2 years left with Rogers at the Jets anyways.
I mean yeah that would be awesome but I just don't see them getting past KC. They make Lamar look very pedestrian, and when he's shook he can't seem to throw to save his life. Or at least that's just what the Chiefs do to him.

It's unfair but some qbs have such a shorter leash with the public than others. Burrow and Allen have almost an infinite leash while qbs like Lamar, Herbert, and Purdy barely even have a leash

The REAL beauty in that TD was from the back angle covering Lamar. After the defender thought the pushed Lamar out of bounds and the ball “looked” like a sailing dud, the defender saw the TD and dropped down to his knees like: “dammit! What else could we do”. Very, deliciously, demoralizing. That TD hurt their souls. It was huge.

What sucks for the bengals, is that OT try wasn’t even on the kicker, the holder, who is the punter, botched the hold. He was to get the ball back up, but listening to Pat McAfee, any part of that operation gets messed up, and it’s a damn near automatic miss.
It makes me sick. We should've won this game. But instead we couldn't finish because thus season so far has been plagued with us making timely mistakes that costs us games a last second pass interference a rield goal holding miscue. All those things change us from a team of winners to people that don't know how to win. Winners find a way that's just what they do and so far we just can't do that and it makes me angry because this team is too talented and works too hard to be unable to push through and win.
Another thing that sucks for cincy is that their QB is having great performances, but they're still losing ball games
I thought that the holder and the kicker coordinated to get that kick as close as they could get it. He missed left, but not short, from 53 yards. After the mishap, to recover and take a respectable shot at it... I respect the hell out of it. It sucks. It was going to suck for somebody no matter what at the end of the day. Dramatic turnovers at clutch moments. Huge plays. Down to the wire. It was the AFC North at its best. Respect from a rival Ravens fan.

"As this one was shanked easily wide" is a total mischaracterization of the Bengals missed field goal. Rehkow bobbled the ball and was still trying to get it into place when McPherson was already connecting with the kick. That actually makes it even more poetic, since it was Rehkow who made the magnificent punt.

Surprised you didn't at least give a brief mention that the reason that overtime FG was shanked so badly was due to the poor hold. He lost grip of the ball and dropped it entirely, and even though he was able to get it set back up late, it wasn't set right and by that point the entire mechanic of the try is botched. That McPherson still had the distance on it despite that was mad impressive.
Obviously, though, this is all Joe Burrow's fault for not playing on the defense.

You need to look at other metrics like run success rate. Prior to the last run he was 14 for 42 , 3 YpC…but who cares, he won the game with that run.
Okay, so let's do the math. He had a 52 yard run. That means aside from that run, he had 14 runs for 40 yards. That's less than 3 yards per run. His longest run in the first half was 7 yards.
With this comment , I would definitely assume it was you who didn't watch the game , as other replies mentioned , well over half his yards was in one play at the end of the game. Bengals keyed in on DH today .....but in the end , it's always sooner or later with Henry
