    I’m a beginner. I’m so thrilled to have found you. Your instructions are clear. And your designs are beautiful. I’m a lot larger than your largest size (I’m 48 according to the chart or XL) I’ll try your largest size first and see how I go. Thank you. 🙏

      Thanks for your comment! Sewing is fun!! It won't do if your measurements are very different to my biggest size! I don't recommend as you'll waste fabric unfortunately!

      @@isainstitches It’s ok. I’ll buy some cheap fabric. No harm in experimenting. Sometimes I fit into smaller sizes when the fabric is stretchy. But I am thinking of trying to increase the sizing slightly. Also, I was going to make up my own pattern but having something to start with is infinitely better.

    • @isainstitches
      @isainstitches  2 роки тому +2

      Hi Kelly! It's the side of the fabric that'll be visible to the world when you wear the garment. Consequently the "wrong side" with the hidden side, worn against the skin. Sometimes the right and the wrong side look the same. But most often they don't (the color, the weaving pattern look different...), check out the clothes you have on right now as a test :))

    • @isainstitches
      @isainstitches  3 роки тому +10

      Hi Roxana, you cut your fabric "on the fold". Fold your fabric in half respecting the grain line, lay the piece of paper, pin or lay something heavy, trace or cut directly. That way it's faster and symmetrical

    Hi! I've been trying my hand at this and something's not going my way. I used a twin needle with a straight stitch for the hems but the bobbin thread ends up too tight and breaking. Is it just a matter of thread tension or am I missing something else? Any help would be sweeeeet. Thanks for your tutorials!

    • @isainstitches
      @isainstitches  3 роки тому

      Hi there! Hmm not sure but yes, I'd say so, that you'd need to loosen the bobbin thread tension... Not entirely convinced though, because I never had to touch my bobbin thread tension before. You have to run some test, also modifying the upper threads tension

    Can I sew this using the same method as the reversible crop top? I'm trying to think it through but I'm not sure if I'll be able to turn it out correctly if I sew both sides of the straps together.

    • @isainstitches
      @isainstitches  2 роки тому

      Hi! No you can't follow the same steps. Oh man, I can't explain, I'd have to show it. But it's you'd have to leave the shoulders open and an opening at the bottom (waist). So when you turn inside out, right side out, you pull the shoulder out of the bottom opening and finish them there. And finally the bottom opening by hand. Hope this bit helps! You might find some info watching bathing suits video!
