Two-piece neck with some careful removal of lacquered finish, then setting the pickups to that 2½ spot on the selector. Anything else I'll leave to the players who better understand the gear used by Jimi and SRV.
@@jefferyroy2566you mean puting the seletor switch between position 2 and 3? And its holds there? Neverr tried that on my strat! It's linda like the 1,5 mode on the Behringer Super Fuzz ir you know what i mean.
Right it’s a little solid state practice amp micd up and sounds amazing with him playing it 😅 I’ve seen him playing some plugs in that sound killer as well I think it was a Neural one
He's really gotten alot better in the past 10 years. I"m proud of him. I couldn't listen to him back then (it was terrible)....now... it's really beautiful art.
Everyone points to SRV when talking about Sayce's sound and playing--but outside of a few classic and modern SRV-style licks, he reminds me more of Hendrix.
Ok, but we already had a SRV. And there have been many. many imitators since he left the world. This is the same as Tim Henson from Polyphia - now everyone is copping his style. Guitarists are shameless man. lol.
But I’ve already read this comment. There have been many. Many imitators of this idea. Everyone is copping this idea. People are shameless man. Maybe just be cool with people making the music they enjoy?
Yah sadly but for older guitarist idc but younger guitarist yah it’s sad because they won’t make that far you can only do so much with Hendrix and srv and hendrix is my fav guitarist.
Phillip Sayce is a world renown player that’s well known by guitar players He does what worked for him maybe if you actually had any foresight on his playing besides this little clip you’d know what you are talking about
That guitar tone is just legendary!
He’s playing through a Yamaha TH10 in this video
Thank Levi, I'd never heard of him. Just checked out some of his other stuff, he's a monster!
omg you almost missed a lot!!!
Sayce and andy timmons have mastered guitar tone
this style of playing is so good, gives me chills ❤
Been a fan of Sayce for awhile now. He has the best tone of any guitar player that I’ve ever heard. (My opinion of course)
Same man!!! His tone is my favourite of all time!!
I echo this sentiment.
SRV left the chat
Awesome SRV Tone! Totally nailed it! Little Wing Chording done beautifully! Nice job! Keep the videos coming!

One of my favorite songs that he does
Absolutely! Yes indeed!
Nice
Sound is the best of the best!!!!!!!
How good is that!!!
Beautiful ❤
SRV learned from JH.. but while I hear some tendencies from SRV the timing is Jimi H & P Sayce.. Peace
So unique eventhough I might have heard that style somewhere...
hendrix
hell yes ! ! !
Sweet
Cool!
That’s Stevie Ray tone all the way. Hendrix tone is a lot tougher to get
That sound is coming out of that Yamaha??
Right it’s a little solid state practice amp micd up and sounds amazing with him playing it 😅 I’ve seen him playing some plugs in that sound killer as well I think it was a Neural one

Phillip is my main influence baby.TONAL MONSTER AND A BEAUTIFUL HEART...LOVE YA PHILLIP.
Every student of rock guitar should learn 'Little Wing' like jazz students learn 'Giant Steps'
bros pick spawned out of nowhere
Tasty!
I have that little Yamaha amp is he getting that tone from that?
I love how worn the Strat looks. It's giving Rory Gallagher vibes.
He really gives his guitars a work.out. They all look rugged as hell.

srv to me :)
please put the tab in the description.

Where did he get those shoes?
sounds like the beginning to a j h song from the 70's too me
🥱
This sounds more like srv but it’s still amazing
Way better than hendrix
reincarnation exists...
Is this on Patreon? I'm not finding it on there.
Should be on the all transcriptions in one place page
@@LeviClay Literally on the page right now and not finding it. Cache issue?
