I agree, you need a car in the UK if living in rural areas. I love driving myself as i grew up with my family travelling a lot by car. I passed my test in 2001 and things has changed a lot, It only had 35 questions in the theory test and no hazard perception back then. Seems like a lot harder now.

Well as far as I am concerned, not many people from Asia can pass their test the first time according to my instructor told me, so you will need at least 30-40 hours to meet the minimum standard for your road test. And the requirements for passing the U.K. driving test is relatively strict. I haven’t done the one in HK before, but that’s what I heard about the U.K. is one of the toughest countries to pass your driving test. So good luck everyone. I passed mine the first time in the UK but just luckily wasn’t much trouble on the road that day.
UK is one of the best. Your ADI is giving you wrong info. If you drive to the required standards, you will pass. People from Asia have nothing to do with it.
Show me is done during the drive. Tell me is done at the beginning. Pulling up on the right had replaced turn in the road or 3 point turn since Dec2017.

揸車要有幾個前提，一不能住倫敦，二不能開車去倫敦返工（以開車為職業例外），三屋企同工作地方有車位，如果呢三點都中既話，自己開車係比較划算。
London泊車貴到hihi，入去仲要俾錢，不過住外圍，好似reading 果啲都可考慮買架車

斜坡起步唔一定必考，show me tell me是分開考的，同樣的minor mistake重複出現就算無15個一樣會fail.路考會抽考emergency stop.
如果重復三次(例如打燈時無睇後镜)做错同一樣minor mistake 系fail

好耐冇出片啦、點解也？
上網申請係平d, 但有個問題。就係申請所謂既綠卡(provisional driving license) 其中一個條件係要晌英國住夠大約半年先可以申請。但網上申請冇得好似去郵局咁直接寫自己幾時黎到英國，網上只會問你係咪已經stay夠半年。如果你未stay夠又tick左yes, 最後有個claim就係你所報既所有野都有係真確，咁我就擔心依個位會造成fraud 既問題。所以我最後都係去2左郵局搞，始終搵工個d有個車牌都係方便d
申請provisional driving licence是不用，我來了3個月便申請了，不過考路試個日是要住滿180日。我後來才知，因考官問我呢條問題。

棍波牌可以開自動波，自動波牌只能開自動車。正常考牌是用私家車吾用van仔
