Just bought one of these trucks and this is the first video/post I've seen that actually shows the same problem I've been having. Thank you for posting it! Looks like a new injection pump is the way to go (already tried a new PMD and new injectors, will throw in a lift pump for good measure as well). Gives me confidence that yours ended up working out in the end.
Made a comment in part 1 as I missed seeing part 2. Glad that you were able to get it straight with Pensacola as they have been catching some flak over their IP's and customer service. I'm gonna have to check some of my numbers and compare to yours to see how well my truck is performing. Still love the sound of that turbo as my GM-4 is barely noticeable.
I loved this video! At the 9:28 time on the video--where you tried starting and you couldn't get it going-[--and said "Its after 9pm and I want to hear it run" --I have a '94 C2500HD and I could really relate to that. My wife swears I spend more time working on it than driving it...its been 8 months and curious if the 2nd Pensacola IP held up --anything to report?
GMTD Scan Tech - You'll also need a cable to go from OBD I to a USB to plug into your computer. I've heard you can find them on eBay. This website is where you buy and download the software. www.gmtdscan.com/product/gmtdscantech/
I don't believe so.... The fuse issue was a has power / doesn't have power issue which totally shuts the pump and engine off. The first replacement pump had something wrong internally. Thanks for the comment!
You're right, they do seem to have a hit and miss reputation on their 6.5 pumps.... I got a bad one and a good one from them. Even though I would have much rather just gotten a good pump from the start, I was impressed and satisfied with the way they took care of the situation.
@@brockautorepair the problem is your time is worth some thing but they don’t think so. There parts are junkyard cores that they just paint and send out from what it seems because their comeback rate is almost 98% on everything

What's that software you're using? I think that's what I need.

I want you think the fuel Solenoid fuse had something to do with the first pump not running correctly?

@@brockautorepair hx-35 works really good for towing....and a Carter fuel pump...
Who sells program?
Google GMTD Scantech…. It’s a Swedish guy that made the program and sells the license for it.
Pensacola is a junk place to buy anything. i would never use them.
