    To lower the brightness more than what the brightness bar offers, there’s an option call “backlight”. You can lower the brightness from there or increase it. It requires the first password 3368, then second password 5768

    Hey just watched your review and it was quite helpful since I bought the same radio a few months ago and as it relates to the steering wheel controls I have the same problem and base on my experience and your comments I think it's a fault in the radio since I bought cheap steering wheel controls off amzon and they work only in the orientation you originally setup to so with mine as with yours in you set them up in landscape they will not work in portrait mode just wanted to let you know that and to say thanks for the review

      Thanks for watching and your comment. Ya, Philosin mentioned it's part of the steering wheel canbus or something, programmed for the radio to be in a certain orientation. It's weird though. But at least you can swipe up from the bottom of the screen and still use the volume or steering wheel controls if you wanted to.

    Super helpful Vid. I’m looking at the 10 inch screen as well. There’s conflicting specs between the 13 & 10 inch on Amazon regarding 1080p. Can you clarify if the 10’ comes in 1080p?

      Was this the one you're looking at? amzn.to/3CGzAfv
      Seems like that one is 1024x600, but i would think it's plenty good resolution. Maybe you have to reach out to Philosin and ask. I'll see if they tell me when I email them.

    Did you figure out what kind of sim card works in the US?

    • @58Alpha

      Unfortunately none are supported for the US

    Think this will fit in a 2005 grand marquis

      I don't know how that looks inside, but it is a universal radio, it will work. But with the Jeep patriot, the smallness of the area makes the large screen get in the way when rotating it portrait/landscape, it will contact the shifter or the windshield wiper lever.

      Ok I’ll give a try, cause the dashboard is bigger. Thank you the info

    Hi. Bought radio. But it says id does not support t mobile ATT or sprint. I have t mobile. Also does radio have wifi built in

    • @58Alpha
      @58Alpha  11 місяців тому

      Yeah, the Amazon was clear about the data support, so you just have to stick with wifi that's built in.

      I haven't timed it but it's pretty fast. We'll see how it is in winter time.

      Did you have the GPS antenna attached? Do you also have an internet connection too or not?

      Yes antenna is attached but no internet, is there a way to use my phones?

    • @58Alpha
      @58Alpha  Рік тому +1

      @@keithkryszewski7510 I would say the antenna gets you positions, but to get directions, you probably need an Internet source like you do when you use Google maps on your phone. You can use your phone as a wireless hot spot so the radio can connect to it and your GPS will work. There's also android auto and Apple car play too if you want your maps ran off your phone.

    Does it mirror link? Operate ac controls?

    • @58Alpha
      @58Alpha  Рік тому

      As far as what I can see, no mirror link but does have the CarPlay and Android Auto. Your A/C controls would be controlled by your normal vehicle's knobs and buttons, which is nice.

      No climate controls for that, you'd use your OEM controls

      @@antonioemerson201 did they originally show on the screen of the original radio? If so, you might lose them then and have to just use the buttons blindly unfortunately.
