I've seen cave drawings in Australia of both mermaids and mermen. I think people drew what they saw. People all over the world have made drawings of these creatures. Thank you!🧜♂🧜♀
Yes sailors have been reporting sightings for centuries but until i looked into this phenomenon i had not heard of inland mermaids even though there is folklore all around the world, i am tempted to look into the the bunyip is a creature from the aboriginal mythology, glad you enjoyed it😃
Who can say for sure! In Africa, there are countless legends and even recent encounters, with what can only be described as Mermaids. Such as the infamous Zimbabwe damn incident. Of course, the ancient Greeks and Romans had their Niads and Nereids who act more or less in the same manner. Then there are the local coastal legends around the British Isles of Selkies and Mermaids alongside famous stories such as the Lady of the Lake. Maybe the old stories of faires living in bodies of water are not really faires at all but landlocked mermaids!🤔😳😄 Idk lol... but it's interesting to think about.
jenny green teeth is a monster in terry pratchetts diskworld universe.... pretty much like this , but they were of the elves in another dimenson its the start of the tiffany aking story
If Doxey means “lover, mistress or prostitute” then what on earth does Doxey Marshes suggest!? 😆 Not a place I’d want to meet any of them in! Interesting video. Ta

Mermaids are very real. Ask the Cornish people.

Haha ill leave Doxey Marshes to your imagination glad you enjoyed
Maybe it's not meant to be taken literally but reference to land itself. A place where the land loves the water.
