It is baffling that naka understands an offbeat opening like the bird at a deeper level than a GM who plays it as their main weapon and has studied it extensively. The guy is a beast through and through.
Fun, especially since I just finished watching the opening tier ratings by Hikaru and GothamChess and the Bird doesn't even appear in the GM video, is garbage (lowest) tier for beginners and legit (T3) for intermediate.

He made a mistake on move 5, its not about any deep opening understaning. He just got out of the opening with an okay position, and outplayed raven
You're an entertaining streamer. First time seeing your videos, and I'm already a fan.
Thanks bruv
Despite the draws at the later stage, the opening suffered from the well-known and almost unavoidable "the best move here is f4-f2" !
Lol
This is proof that the Bird is a serious tournament level opening.
it is indeed.
thanks for the analysis!
You're welcome!
Anyone have a link to hikarus stream of this match?
We tried to find it but couldn't. He didn't put it on youtube as far as we can tell.
@@gmravenIf it happened recently, it might be on UA-cam in a few days (or weeks)

What wrong with Bishop to e1?
I was yelling it. Idk either
Knight can take d4 and he can’t take back with the c pawn because the pawn is pinned to the rook.
That's right
