Amazon has net pots for plants in clear, white or black in various sizes, a circle of mesh for the bottom and the pots to put them in if you want to order it all from one spot.
Great hacks. I like many of your hacks. Thank u very much. ive re used orchid pots for my pon aswell. There are places that are cheaper. However, they dont have all sizes, like ur way if putting holes on plastic cups for diff size pots
I always love the hacks!! That's a great idea, I still haven't attempted Pon but love watching the success stories with it. Masking tape and Painters tape are actually different!
@@jungleflowerscanada5384 no worries the only difference is the adhesive. Painter's tape comes off without leaving anything behind unlike masking tape. I can be a wealth of useless information sometimes lol
💚 That was a VERY informative video! Loved your ideas/suggestions and will be trying them. I just ordered the mosquito dunks. Thank you and I really enjoy your videos. 🤩
Hi I’m really enjoying your videos…so much helpful information. I’m just wondering when you propagate in pon are there drainage holes in the plastic pot you have the cutting in? Also with the pot you MacGyvered handles on (which is a great idea) does the inner pot slip down to the bottom of the outer pot. If it does fall all the way to the bottom, do you not have to have a bit of space for the water to sit and the wick to hang into?
I put holes about an inch from the bottom. Woth these pots I don't use a wick I just water like you would soil but when I see the water coming out if the holes, I know there is enough.
love love love the mesh pots and cups idea. I actually ordered a soldering iron that came yesterday after watching one of your older videos so I can start using clear cups more effectively. Totally second your mosquito catcher thing. I bought one last summer (after you recommended) and they work great - I think mine was less than $20. Interested to know if you have tried nematodes? Every time I open a new bag of potting mix I dump a load of nematodes in there and I have had zero (and I mean not a one) fungus gnats since I started doing that in September. The thing to be mindful off is if you use beneficials (I do), they will eat the nematodes but I figure it just prolongs the life of the beneficials when you are using for preventative as opposed to an outbreak. Painted Lady is my husbands favourite plant (he's not a plant person so when he mentions he likes a plant I take extra special care of it). Loved this video.
I always enjoy your planting hacks and love how you share tips on keeping everything as cheap as possible. I do have a question about your cuttings in pon. Do you always keep water in your reservoir? I’ve been rooting hoya cuttings in pon but am undecided about how best to do it. Thanks so much! 💚
I ordered the net pots in the description, but mine look way bigger than yours. Mine are 5 inches in diametre and 3 inches tall. Your's don't look that big. Can you confirm if what i got is the same?
Easy and safe way to kill all flying gnats - use any antimoskitoe liquid, that you put into your power socket to get rid of usual moskitoes that bite. Or antimoskitoe dry plates. Electric mosquito liquid repellent, that's the name.
The handle tip is ingenious. We all have ‘those’ pots.
Glad you liked it 💚
You’re the sweetest 💚💚💚💚💚

Yes, I have seen them. I just had so many of the mesh pots already and this was a lot less expensive for me.
Love your ingenuity!!

Thanks Steph, I sometimes get confused with terminology between Ireland and Canada 💚

Thanks Toni, no I don't use nematodes but I might give them a go. I'm glad I have a supporter for the painted lady 💚

I'll get back to you later
They were supposed to be 4" mine we 3.93, just under 4. Where do you live, I have way too many, I'll give you some. I got 100
What soil do you use?
For soil I use Promix mycorrhizae and I add perlite, worm castings and sometimes bark
Do you use leca?
No, I don't use leca, I tried it but wasn't a fan.
