Isn't this just one of the best Tom Jones ballads I've ever heard and I think I've heard them all, and this is just beautiful and also very heartfelt. Thankyou Tom.
Austin Hackney: That'as only your opinion. This version of the song is a lot more melodic than Cohen's version. Sometimes a song comes along and it is more of a fit with a different artist than the original one.Such as Cohen's song Hallelujah. The version by the late Jeff Buckley is more deep and sensual than Cohen's is. Although, picking which is the best is relative. Each person has their favorite. * This is a link to the critically acclaimed version here: ua-cam.com/video/y8AWFf7EAc4/v-deo.html
@Austin Hackney I don't care what the rest say, I'm with you on this. Don't get me wrong, Tom Jones has a great voice and heaps of talent, but I have been listening to Leonard Cohen and really prefer his singing. It might be because I'm not a good singer and I can sing with Cohen. That is why I will always probably prefer listening to Leonard Cohen singing his own music. Matter of taste and opinion.

Such meaning and emotion in his singing , he seems to just get better every year his voice sounds to have just improved with every year and always has been able to put his own touch to every song he sings. Saw him in Las Vegas back in the 90's and he sounds even better to me to day than then. Thank you Sir Tom for all the years of sharing your talent.

It's the heart behind the voice that brings the tonal colours to the songs. That's Tom Jones. He lets the song sing him ! What a gift to us all he has been for decades.

Awesome voice, lyrics and presence. Thank you Tom Jones. You've been relevant for a very long time and most people sense that.

76 Years old and still the same voice. Love it.

What a voice he had and still has really. Powerful presence.
magistrale lirica di Leonard Cohen e superba interpretazione di Tom Jones
Thank You, Tom.
We love You.
Am 26 and am in love of ur songs... I would wish there were more singers like you in these times...💕👏
Hello amazing fan.
It has come to my notice that some of my fans thinks I was the person who died. Late jones was The one who conceived the twist on Romeo and Juliet with composer John Donald Robb.
He died 11th August, of cancer in his home in Sharon.
I’m still alive and much healthy.
Thanks dear fan....
Tom Jones can't sing anything without it being fantastic! Crazy about his voice!!!!!!
Hello I really do appreciate you for being a big fan thank you for your wonderful comments on my post it really means a lot to me.I sincerely hope you never stop listening to my music…..❤️
One of the precious few covers as good or better than the original.
Tom sang this tonight in Linz/Austria. Looked around and saw many people wiping their eyes. Simply beautiful.
Hands down best version of this song.
This song is a right of passage for performers who have paid rent for many years in the tower of song
Isn't this just one of the best Tom Jones ballads I've ever heard and I think I've heard them all, and this is just beautiful and also very heartfelt.
Thankyou Tom.
I agree ilove him to
Austin Hackney:
That'as only your opinion.

@Austin Hackney Leonard Cohen was a reciter never a singer
@Austin Hackney I don't care what the rest say, I'm with you on this. Don't get me wrong, Tom Jones has a great voice and heaps of talent, but I have been listening to Leonard Cohen and really prefer his singing. It might be because I'm not a good singer and I can sing with Cohen. That is why I will always probably prefer listening to Leonard Cohen singing his own music. Matter of taste and opinion.
touch my heart Tom Jones will live for ever with his songs.Love you Tom.
Tower of song is fantastic.
wow back to hear it again ....what a song he sings it fantastic he lives it ...or has lived it..Tom was born to sing and he does amazing ....blessings and love....🙏🙏🎼🎶🎵🎼🎶

I'll always be grateful that I got to hear this live - standing 3 meters from Mr Jones himself! Mindblowing!!
Still such a looker whose voice grabs your heart and rocks it up and down the river of life. Amazing singer doing an amazing songwriter justice.
Its magic, his voice and the music match perfectly.

The Truth Seeking Music Makers Fuck off mate! Toms not a like those other 1980's radio DJ's. This guy is a fucking legend and above all a Welshman.

The Truth Seeking Music Makers:
Jealous much? Your words reek of it.
Amen!
Beautiful song, from a beautiful man....Sorry for your loss.
It is a tribute to those who have crossed the immortal bridge, into a history of song.
Still a voice - of gold...cuts through to your soul!!! Beautiful...
Thank you Tom For all the music... After all the decades have come and gone...
A true storytells of the hearts...God Bless
Now if only Tom had written this he would be a true genius, but I suppose it's enough that he brought it. Gave me chills.
Oh I love this!

***** He's not even singing. he's just throwing out words. If this is your fav song. you are missing a lot in the history of music.
zougoulogo For one, he is singing. And two, you don't have to belt out vocals to be a great tune. In fact, most would say the writing is what makes it great. I like when people that don't know crap try to correct people. Makes me laugh
+zougoulogo HE IS TOM FUCKING JONES. ffs.-
Tom's version is amazing and so in love with the video. I just wanna give him a great big hug.
amazing lyric and superb interpretation
A Legend pays tribute to another Legend. Two of the men with golden voices. Very unique and touching.
