I don't understand the people complaining about the Rabbi "interrupting" Yonathan. This is his channel and he is leading the conversation. Sometimes he has to interrupts to clarify certain points for his audience in Galut who might not be aware of the caveats of Israeli society.
He and Jonathan have meaningful enjoyable conversations and by the look of it, they seem to entertain a genuine friendship and appreciate each other's company. I find it a delight to watch.

I live in Beit Shemesh and we have established a neighborhood citizen patrol. We were trying to get the police to help us get training and licences to carry. It is so up in the air at this point. The point was made today that Israelis have short memories. I was taught that as a "position", the past is before the eyes of Jews, meaning they look at now-events of life with a rich historical insight of where people have come from. A bit hard for a westerner to comprehend, unless they are well-versed in American Revolution times of 1776 and the President Lincoln era of Civil War in the 1860s. And even after this, much of the South feels that it was federal intrusion into their economic and social style of life/living. The Left wing in USA has successfully influenced academia, federal government policy and local governing as well. Utopianism--the always looking for a "better tomorrow" cares nothing about historical truths and people of proven character; no, it's the reaching forward they are concerned with. The deep state (liberalism) is entrenched everywhere--in the one-time beautiful America and in the lovely, admirable, and hard-working time of kibbutzes in the 50s and 60s. (I am book-learned in these matters only, and yet I feel such respect for those who have gone before me; both in Israel, and in the USA.) In conclusion, voters with short memories are not particularly meditative as to the success of keeping what was "good and proven honorable" in the past. Voters in the USA listen to the politicians who tell more lies than the truth. Disgusting! In both countries, we must "wake up to the present evil". Those people who consider themselves historians must be consulted with, even highly respected and revered. These have learned history's "lessons" and can be a guide to others seeking a safer, more prosperous "now".

Tom, as an American I'm gaining on full scope of this and much more since my first introduction ("wake up call") to Caroline Glick while following Frank Gaffney's Securing America. Even before I knew we're a hot step behind what Israel faces and prepare for it. So thanks for another marker on the way. It's exactly why I'm here and also closely follow JNS, CBN, Yair Pinto, and a few others too. Not to make it "a point", but as a Christian here in Texas where support for Israel and the IDF is unwavering (don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise) many never hear the critical detail that the state media stenography pools consistently fail or are invincibly ignorant of. Mr. Pollard, I agree that a very hard-right approach is needed at the moment. For example, annexation and population transfer. At the same time, I just cannot support Itamar Ben Gvir. Where to start?
    1. He spent his youth harassing Arabs and was so extreme that the army refused to draft him. The IDF may be left-leaning but it doesn't refuse to draft people even if they're strongly right-wing. This only happens to extremists.
    2. He praised Baruch Goldstein. He was a Jewish terrorist that murdered Arabs in cold blood. Ben Gvir is such a scumbag that he hung a portrait of Baruch Goldstein in his living room and displayed it with pride. He only recently took it down. This is the equivalent of Arabs hanging posters of their so-called 'martyrs'.
    3. He supports the death penalty which, in my liberal opinion, is an untenable position. And yes, even right-wingers should respect basic precepts of liberalism, including the right to life. Civilized countries do not execute people. It can only be taken away they are threatening you, not when they're disarmed and in jail.
Of course, sometimes he blurts out the truth when everyone else is burying their heads in the sand.
Of course, sometimes his party holds positions that no one else holds and yet are necessary for Israel's survival.
This does not mean that we shouldn't find someone more decent to vote for.
