Its not about SMP, its about taking ALL donor hair, move it to the top and then rock a skin fade. I have hundreds of white dots on my donor and always do a mid skin fade. No one cares about the small white dots.

Rocking a skin fade and then what would you do about some of the unflattering scars? Some hair transplant clinics over harvest the area, which results in the back of peoples heads having unflattering scars along the back. I have seen some shocking ones, as I was considering a hair transplant myself.
For a lot of people SMP will fix that situation for those that look for a way to camouflage their scars, as they feel uncomfortable.

The outcome can be subjective and based on personal opinion; there are instances where clients end up feeling worse and regretting the hair transplant they underwent and this is purely due to the scars.
@@elixirpigmentationLondon-Dubai that’s why you go to a skilled surgeon with a reputation for good donor management. For this reason I would personally never entertain an “all you can transplant “ for $2k in turkey

lol I got 5000 grafts (over 3 transplants) and then got smp in the crown and scars and it looks great. Hair and clinic quality make a BIG difference (my hair is stupid thick and black)
Don’t over harvest. Don’t cheap out. Go to a good smp clinic. The end.
i still think years down the line many people are going to regret SMP. there is no way it will look good 10-20 years down the line - the ink will migrate a little and the dots whill ultimately merge create a solid colour in the back. Hair colour will also change pigment and you will basically left with a mess. I have seen this many times online and no one wants to admit that. You will say go to a reputable smp artist - fresh out after you will say wow lovely result - 2-3 years after you will require touch ups. The touchups will not be exactly on the previous smp dots - do enough touch ups and nd up in a solid grey colour if you're lucky or even that colour changes to blue/green which can happen.
I don't think a single clinic in the world (hairmill or not) can do SMP on the donor right after a hair transplant.
It's simply not possible, each extraction point will still be a wounded hole, it would be impossible.

I very recently had a density treatment done and SMP restored my confidence. It’s very easy to dismiss SMP when you don’t fully understand it nor necessarily need it yourself. For someone like me who needed a lot of SMP along my hairline and density within my existing hair it changed my life and like I said, my confidence was starting to come back. So for someone who thinks it looks silly, or it’s ridiculous is actually quite a sensitive topic, as that alone will help people like me.
People who require SMP will always do their research and speak with their practitioners along the journey. Do your own research and look for results that you like.

Maybe but that’s only if you suffer hair loss in the area.
Use your brain please. Only as long as you take it so the moment you stop, any hair grown back and transplanted elsewhere would quickly fall out

I dont know how Dr. Felipe Pitella does but he is capable of getting more that 5000 grafts, from the donor zone. Even he has done surgeries extracting 11,000 grafts.

SMP should only be used to cover up FUT or FUE scars. Otherwise.... run.... Having SMP on hairline is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen

Good and bad procedures exist in every aspect. The new era of hyper-realistic SMP is here, where even I, let alone you, may not be able to distinguish it as SMP.
What's smp?
They tattoo dots on your head to look like hair follicles. I've never seen SMP where it looks completely natural, to be honest, but some people could probably get away with it if they have some natural coverage. If you have zero follicles, like slick bald, then it looks unnatural

That is because a quality SMP procedure is entirely undetectable, while poorly done ones will always be noticeable.
