A great setup. I've recently moved to 2x 65" 4k TV's instead of monitors as a dual productivity/gaming beast. I just feel anything below 48" cant utilise 4k properly due to the number of pixels (8.3m), without scaling everything. When 4k is viewed properly above 48", the desktop space is great especially in dual!
@@thedeveloperadam It may be if you're not used to it, but if your desk is deep (mine is 1mtr) and I lean back while working, you just get used to it very quickly. You suddenly realise how 4k should be used, and it's absolutely HUGE amount of space when can view everything without being zoomed in/scaled. I think for most 48-55" is going to be preferred though, if you want to use a large display for coding/productivity. And lastly, gaming on a larger display is soo much more immersive and the detail is fantastic. I'll never go back now to anything less than 55".
I was just looking for some info whether I will be able to connect this monitor to my macbook air and it seems that you are running it with air with no problems :) I also kinda like the idea of single cable for both video and charging. Your video also answered my curiosity if it is possible to use it 'over' the air while still using air's keyboard and trackpad. Thank you for the video :)
Thank you for this video. I have a question. I have the M1 Macbook air. I am about to write a book on child loss and was wondering how this monitor would work in portrait mode using Macs word processing app. I need something bigger to write on instead of the screen on the Mac Air 13.. Would the font be larger and clear enough. I would greatly appreciate your input before I purchase this monitor. Thank you.
Hey buddy, yes you can change the resolution and text size to suit anyways. I’d imagine a portrait monitor would be quite good for writing especially if you wanted to increase text size etc. I used it for ages and had no issues with font sizing.
Thanks! It’s a standard macOS wallpaper but there is a google drive out there that does have them all in if you’re not in macOS as I’ve seen it before!

@@ATIWatchReviews sounds awesome maybe if I had more room … 😅
@@ATIWatchReviews interesting perspective, thanks for sharing! Could you show that setup by chance?
@@ericn471 ok I'll do a video on my other channel ATI product reviews

parabens que pc lindo
What would you say about the scaling? I heard macs have difficulties with the lower res, is the text sharp enough on the dualup?
Yeah I had no problems with it, it isn’t as sharp as the MacBook/iMac but it’s not bad either!
Awesome. Have you tried kvm with two maxhine.
I never really utilised the KVM feature
@@thedeveloperadam Finally, its worked for me we need to connect through the dual controller app and wifi.
I wish someone would explain how to set up the monitor to control multiple devices using same mouse and keyboard...if that is possible.
Ah using the inbuilt KVM switch? Yeah I never tried that feature!
Is it ips?
I am not sure buddy apologies.
yes
Which version of Macbook is that
M1 air
@@thedeveloperadam thanks mate, looking forward to buy one as a developer might come this one handy hopefully
@@wolfmeowmeow yeah the m1 is still a decent machine I’d just recommend 16gb ram as a minimum 🔥
