It makes some sense. You're not pushing against the unblockable attack with a saber parry, you're blasting them back with your gun, so they're stunned by the reprisal without your guard being broken through.

yes also doesnt work if they have combo attacks that reach you :) But you can parry blast fire and the game kinda don't know what to do ;D

I always forget about that skill. I typically just do a normal parry to drain the guard. Even if they go with an unblockable immediately after, blasting them instantly kills them with Purity equipped, regard of parry

This just needs the gun stance and after that you can parry. It works on most enemy's, but some has range attack in combo with their red attacks and this is when it get funky :)

It's the parry you spec into that uses the blaster, not the light saber.

Everything stops red attacks, it's just that the blaster is ranged and instant

not "everything", you can parry with force push or parry with the blaster but you cant parry with the saber
