This is the nicest van build I’ve seen on UA-cam. Everything is well thought out and makes for a very livable van. It certainly looks to be a better quality build than you get from an RV company!
A light coloured (preferably white) van will be much cooler to start with, this will make your a/c unit work less. We have a white VW T5 with a pop top, the pop top was black when we bought it I had it sprayed white to match the body this has resulted in a decrease in internal temperature on the few sunny days we seem to get here in the U.K. !
How wonderful to gain all that new space! Looks like a great, quality company. You are ready to go! We are in Michigan right now, and will be going to the UP too! - Michelle
Oh wow! I love the upgrades and love knowing that many of them will be installed on my upcoming build. I'm just bursting with excitement. It's coming on so fast now. ❤💙💚💛
Epic upgrades. I love that you partner with a company that you are actually using the products and are able to give true feedback to them as to whether the upgrade or product is a hit or miss.
Well Done Drifers...Well Done. Hey Sarah, can you confirm it Drifter do upgrades on RVs...If so I will provied you with the link of the RV that I'm thinking about purchasing...Good Lord willing🙏🙏🙏 💅 As a rookie..Glamping is my interest Guys!
How loud are these vans when using overnight? e.g. if camping w fam who are tent camping, is it loud & will disrupt their enjoyment of peace and quiet? Thank you
The van itself does not run overnight. The AC makes minimal noise, but my Espar heater can be a little loud and give me away if I'm trying to stealth camp.
Why did drifter vans not install this a/c on original build? The lift gives the van a sexier look…..how long are they out on builds? Would you go with a Mercedes again or a ford/Ram?
It totally looks sexier!! The 48V AC's were just starting to roll out and Nomadic's wasn't available yet during my build. Now Drifter uses Nomadic AC's on almost all builds unless the client requests something else. We are booked out for the rest of this year! I would get a Ford Transit Trail if I did it again. These also weren't available during my build... The Promasters are not AWD and Sprinters are just much more expensive. Drifter actually specializes in Transits! Hope this helps. Please email me if you have any other questions! sarah@driftervans.com
Indel B was one of the most energy efficient 12V AC's on the market at the time. It blows cold air but is not very powerful nor does it aim downward. The 48V AC's were just starting to roll out and Nomadic's wasn't available yet during my build.
@@NomadicSarah Your van is a great layout/build! Nomadic's X2 was out back then but not in 48v I don't think. Am about to pull the trigger on an X2 24v for our Premaster build. The X3 jumps a thousand in price and consumes more power (although I'm sure kicks butt on cooling!) . We'll have four 200ah batts set up in 24v but aren't going to be full time so not going for gusto
I dropped a PRETTY penny on the AC and lift kit as well as installation. (Both completely worth it!) You can check out pricing here: www.nomadiccooling.com & vancompass.com
This van is now FOR SALE! Check out the listing here: thevancamper.com/post/11156/2022-awd-extended-ford-transit-350-custom-luxury-build-for-sale

I have followed you for awhile, Sarah. I live in the U.P.. in the keweenaw peninsula; Calumet to be exact.
Love your home. So classy and high tech. They do great work.
Thank you so much, Beth! Drifter's work really is top notch.

I totally agree! It's a beautiful partnership.
Awesome video
Love your vids Sarah
Safe travels to the UP! Make sure you hit Mackinah Island!
Are you trying to be funny? Mackinaw Island.
Nice upgrades!

Thank you!!
Good video!
Nice Shower update. Who many gallons per minute does it take to shower/ wash hair ?
Sarah does your van have a cassette toilet or black tank? Would a Portable Toilet reduce total cost build price if I opted for a portable?
Wow flash as now
Enjoy ❤
Fantastic video. Stop into the grayling area I have hook ups for you…. Be safe…
The 48w Nomadic Cooling was not available so I went with the X3 24 volt. Where did you get the rear shower hose?
How loud are these vans when using overnight? e.g. if camping w fam who are tent camping, is it loud & will disrupt their enjoyment of peace and quiet?
Thank you

@@NomadicSarah thank you
So that 12 v ac didn’t cut it ?
Drifter can you consider having double axels in back? Better handling performance/ stability given interior weight for mod.
Nice upgrades. Will you be updating your power kit?
Heck no, I love my power system!
LOL…Just meant adding an additional kit for more power for the AC. ❤
❤
Is there a spacelot rent for camper van here in California?
Why was the choice made for the weak a/c unit? Did somebody sell you on it? Wasn't that only at the beginning of 2023??
Indel B was one of the most energy efficient 12V AC's on the market at the time. It blows cold air but is not very powerful nor does it aim downward. The 48V AC's were just starting to roll out and Nomadic's wasn't available yet during my build.

How much did all upgrades cost? Or were they comp'd for being a rep?
I dropped a PRETTY penny on the AC and lift kit as well as installation. (Both completely worth it!) You can check out pricing here: www.nomadiccooling.com & vancompass.com
Ok, now I’m leaning more Drifter Vans than Embassy or a cookie cutter Winnebago or another Roadtrek 😉
Huge difference!! You wouldn't regret it.
Love, love your new update, but there one ☝️ thing where the toilet ?
it’s in her shower area. Watch her first van build video. She has a wet bathroom, which includes her toilet.
what is wrong with 12 volt roofm top ca unit ??
The Indel B AC is super energy efficient and blows cold air, but it's not very powerful nor does it aim the air downward. They definitely let us down.
What about room for an electric bicycle and charging the battery?
The garages in the newer vans definitely have enough space for that!
Why didn't Drifter Vans put that air conditioner in the beginning?
The 48V AC's were just starting to roll out and Nomadic's wasn't available yet during my build.
