Debbie, what a dear respectful daughter you are. I will pray for the proper door to open for a perfect place with a seamless transition for her where she feels safe and comfortable. I always love seeing your gorgeous plants and learning what conditions they thrive in.
Could you please tell us viewers the variety of coleus you showed near the end? It is extra beautiful! Take good care of yourself, Debbie! You are so important to so many❣️ Thank you, Linda 💚💚

I just recently got some geranium Roxanne and I’m absolutely in love with it! It can take a beating and it just keeps blooming and blooming and blooming. The more I cut the straggly ends the fuller and denser the main body of the plant gets. But I also let one ramble up into a kaleidoscope abelia that’s looking dry. Now it looks like the abelia is blowing purple.
As my garden beds get bigger and bigger I’ve started to really appreciate these types of low maintenance powerhouses that give huge impact for very little effort. I highly recommend this awesome plant to anyone looking for a beautiful, carefree plant 👌🏻

We had a hot , dry summer last year. This summer we've had rain a few days a week here in Ontario, Canada. You grow such beautiful flowers and shrubs Debbie. I don't have deer but I do have rabbits that have been eating everything. Bonny

Lovely tour of your garden. I live in North Africa n we get long hot summers n no rainfall but even though the heat came with such strength it's amazing how plants survived n came back when I thought they had died. Good to see some plants that are drought n heat tolerant . Our rain has come early this n so grateful. We can water but when that rain comes the plants just have a huge growth spurt n their leaves shine with thankfulness.

Here in Upstate New York, we had the wettest July on record. 11 inches. I loved it. No watering. I have 6 Roxanne geranium plants I bought on clearance. My staples in the garden are hydrangeas, coneflowers, saliva, Walker's low catmint, daisies, peonies. I have bought Fooled Me and Stella Doro daylilies to plant later. St. John's wort is invasive here!

Enjoyed this video. Your garden has such a great blend of colors and textures. Lucky you! You have trees and shade. I live on the NC coast and a hurricane took out my big trees along with my old hydrangeas and azaleas. Now the back is hot, full sun. Looking forward to the grasses video.

Always good to see you and I enjoy all of your info. I garden in Portland OR so you give me great inspiration. I bought a silver sword azalea this spring and I like the structure I see forming. It is next to hydrangeas so It will help satisfy me with blooms while I wait for hydrangea blooms. I agree that we need to get some more drought tolerant plants going here. Any more information about that will be very helpful. Wishing you and your mom safe travels . The PNW is easier than Nebraska to age in especially with family nearby. Best Wishes and Thanks Debbie.

Thank you for the tour! I’m in the greater Seattle area, so it gives me a lot of help. I notice that your plants grow much bigger than most of mine in the same time frame. Maybe I’m starting with smaller plants. Good luck with your mom. I moved my parents from Texas to this area, right before the pandemic. It was definitely the right decision.

I, like you, am also moving my 82 year old Mom close to me. I am fortunate to have a mom who trusts me to do the right by her. Blessings to you and your family❤❤

Our weather here in Iowa has changed too. We don’t get the big thunderstorms that use to roll in in the afternoons several times a month. I was kidding my husband that pretty soon I will start putting in desert plants. Our lawn is green though and we never water it. My hosts are looking tired but roses are pretty and asters, mums, anemones hibiscus are close to blooming. I guess we just have to keep adjusting. Thank you for the tour of your beautiful gardens.
