Very trippy. I listened to this before going to sleep, drifted off the last thirty minutes or so, just remember picturing myself in an abandoned building with someone or something following me, then me just floating in a black oblivion (like outer space, only no stars, planets, etc) while listening to the guy speaking, laying still (planking, if you will) in the midst of the void. When I awakened it was two A.M. and I was all spaced out.
'I've said goodbye to my family and friends. everything is growing grayer and dimmer, it's getting harder to concentrate. then, there is no _anymore._ ' that line has been stuck in my head for years now.
Listening to this while following the instructions that came with the record was the most surreal thing ive ever experienced from listening to music, kind of like being in a trance, like being asleep but conscious, sadly my trance broke somewhere around the 30 min point, i didnt even notice the passage of time until i checked my phone to see that half an hour had gone by, absolute masterpiece.
I’m coming back to this after 2 years of not listening to it I had one of the scariest lsd trips of my life listening to this I heard things scratching the floor and had a lady whisper something in my ear about a hour in and I flipped out and never listen to this again it’s was truly a terrifying experience

There were times where I was terrified and shaking and times where I was completely calm. The loops seem to go on for ages and it starts to feel like they'll never end. This was quite the experience.

I heard a bell signaling me to come but these voices pulled me further away from the bell until I was in another place. I was in a chain and two naked ,but not human dudes but other dimensional ppl, were clapping. Making the sounds of our heartbeats. Our life-force, to show me that they don't like the sound. Like the sound of life is toxic to them. I dunno. I just closed my eyes and let the sounds take me wherever my brain wanted to create. Awesome stuff.

I genuinely felt like i was a peasant carrying a lantern walking down a cobblestone hallway with prison cells to my left and right, and i had no idea why.
Okay, I gotta be honest. Around the 29:00 mark, it gets pretty scary sounding as the rumbling binaural beats and guitars drown out the hoary motivational speaker ("I live in a van by the river!"). That's pretty interesting and reminds me a little of Velvet Underground. This is an interesting sonic experience. I'm not sure if it lives up to its claims, but does remind me of a lot of theories behind 1960s psychedelic rock, where the idea was not just to show listeners what a drug trip sounds like, but actually recreate those altered states of consciousness via electronics. And, of course, the CIA has endless volumes of data on how to use sensory deprivation to alter consciousness (all for evil reasons, of course). Thanks a lot for sharing. I can't say that I've experienced anything strange, but it's fascinating nonetheless.

I felt emotional but I couldn't cry and instead I felt them in the back of my throat. I imagined my life and everything that could happen to Me and everything that has happened. I was completely alone hands in oven mitts the only things that I had senory input out were the smell of the blanket I layered over my eyes and the music in my ears. I just laid in thought the whole time my brain trying to comprehend that I wasn't sleeping despite damn near seeming like it. I felt like I was going to sink into my mattress and never come out, now that I just finished I feel shakey and sweaty. This was heavy
There is nothing magic about this album. Not to take away from how much I love Giles Corey, but this will not give you seizures or make you freak out and the people who say it does are hypochondriacs or something. Don't get psyched out, I'd hate for someone to miss out on this because they're wigged out by a video description.
Certain sounds do cause seizures for epileptics. I feel like I have to point this out. It’s amazing to me how some people are so skeptical of “magic” that their skepticism actually transforms into them not believing certain things that are actually scientific, purely because they haven’t looked into that. Yes some of the sounds in this album can cause seizures, same as how watching a movie with bright flashing lights can cause seizures. God you pseudo intellectuals are insufferable.
This first time around I lasted about 36 minutes. I read the pdf, used a blindfold, and was in a trance state for maybe 15 or so minutes? I plan on doing this again with the oven mitts, I think there were too many physical distractions and mental stress this time around. Although I'm a touch nauseous, I also feel extraordinarily calm, and my head is clear. It's weird, when in trance, I didn't feel much of anything in particular besides the dudes voice talking about death. Cool experience overall, will detail next experience when it happens.

No. It's trash, not even interesting drone. I've heard field recordings of empty rooms that are better than this. Giles Corey' self-titled was good, Have a Nice Life is a great project, but this is the worst example of a "philosophical tool" I've ever had the displeasure of being exposed to. One modulated tone for 40 minutes isn't art.
I don't think any music is just going to send you into a guaranteed trance or anything like that, of course under the rights conditions it may, but its not necessarily going to happen. However, any and all sounds, especially music (in fact any and all sensory experience) alter brain activity. If you listen to this for say 30 minutes, your going to be in a lot different of a mental state than if you listen to a Slayer album for 30 minutes, e.g. this might calm you, relax you, or bore you, whereas something more up-tempo might get you more excited, energized, or aggravated.

I don't think any music is just going to send you into a guaranteed trance or anything like that, of course under the rights conditions it may, but its not necessarily going to happen. However, any and all sounds, especially music (in fact any and all sensory experience) alter brain activity. If you listen to this for say 30 minutes, your going to be in a lot different of a mental state than if you listen to a Slayer album for 30 minutes, e.g. this might calm you, relax you, or bore you, whereas something more up-tempo might get you more excited, energized, or aggravated.

Just because you can't describe the properties of being dead (because there is no sense perception) doesn't mean we have failed somehow; It means the question of picturing the inconceivable is flawed.
