- FISH Surrounded My GoPro! King George Whiting Footage from Perth Local Waters Western Australia.
I decided to sink my GoPro overboard from my boat whilst fishing for KG Whiting. Oblivious to what it captured I continued to fish and catch some good size KGs.
It wasnt untill I returned home and view the footage!... I was in AWW!..

Must be near Perth, I used to catch a lot of butterfish around Two Rocks and there is a lot with the KGW.
Freo area..they feed on the same worms near the weed and sand beds 👍

Absolutley ! Looking at the footage you can see how important the Sea Grass is for the ocean...hopefully it will spread to those that keep destroying it for industrial reason..in particular Cockburn Sound!
Dom this is a terrific video. I found it almost hypnotising to watch the fish moving about carefree in the sea grass and across the sand. And your choice of music was perfect. Did you take this footage near Fremantle? More vids like this one please....rgds Westfishos

Thanks Rowan! At 0.43 seconds in there a glimps of a whiting taking the bait..two red beds. It got tangled around the rope so I didnt do it again

Lol.. i thought the same , but they're named after a harbour King George Sound on the South Western Australian coast town of Albany. Some dood in 1829 caught one there for the first time . Cheers Pete!
Aah gee Dom, don't we live in a fantastic era. All this modern technology. In the old days I always used a throw net under the Narrows to catch boney herring for Mulla bait. Guess you would end up in jail nowadays, still, one good throw out there out side the heads....................

Want to take my kids hearing fishing on the beach around South Perth. Any ideas on a place to take them were I can get them a hookup? Have not done much fishing in Aus. Love the videos keep em coming!
Thanks Quinton! I gather by saying South Perth means the river..which would be bery hard for Herring. If so try for bream around the Narrows. Or a safe place for the kids to chase herring would be Fremantle fishing Harbour to the left of the Italain club by the carpark. Goodluck! And enjoy!

I hit he record button and sank it. No WiFi thru water.. i saw the footage at home on computer and was shocked!
