Great vid as ever from one of my favourite stations on my favourite line! I got to ride the Trainbow last week. I must’ve got some weird looks cos I got well giddy as it pulled in!
Hi Tornado922. Great rush hour film at London Kings Cross. Loved the 2-tone from 91110 at 34:39. Extra information for you: for future reference, it is actually called 'Bradford Forster Square', rather than 'Foster'. Looking forward to the next rush hour film at Linslade. Kind regards, Chris.
Thanks very much, there has been a lot of work done to the surrounding area of the station and I can't help but feel it's slowly losing it's charm and character as a result
Never been to Kings Cross before but it does look like a good station to go to! I don't know if either my social anxiety or bank account would approve though 😂
Great entertaining commentary as always Tornado922, excepting the beautiful 'Inter-City' 225 set, what an unrelievedly soulless, sterile and dull place 'The Cross' has become filled with identical plastic trainsets--those awful 'Azumas' with their ironing board seats and rattly interiors. King's Cross used to have character, mildly perilous for those of a nervous nature, always noisy, busy and careworn--I appreciate things and times change but seeing 'The Cross' completely devoid of life is such a shame, this was where the A4's, Thompsons, Deltics, 47's, HST's, the odd 89 would arrive and head out full of noise and purpose--just always busy, parcel trolleys littering platform 1, Whilst having the terminal being very clean and tidy--great to see no foliage hiding the tracks!--I think a bit of the soul and character of King's Cross has been taken away. A shame that our railways are now filled with "Identikit" plastic trains, odd looking locomotives, neglected track vegetation--is that progress? Let's head back to Linslade, chat with the sheep and look out for rogue pigeons! 🙂
Thank you kindly! I do have to agree that Kings Cross has changed a lot over the years, even when it was just 91s and HSTs coming in and out there was something special about the place, but sadly things are changing and not always for the better. The trains that occupy our rail network this day and age don't really have any character to them unlike their predecessors. Even the slower regional commuter trains have now changed for the worse, you would have 317s, 365s, 321s. Now it's just purely 387s and 700s coming and going. I've seen many great films of 'The Cross' back when clag would hang in the air, there would be plenty of noise right from the word go and you had such a great variety in traction coming in and out. Linslade will be covered again sometime soon where the sheep will be spoken to and the pigeons get their 15 minutes of fame
@@Tornado922 Thanks for your reply--'The Cross' back along was always busy 24-7, along with it's characters too, when I go through nowadays yes it is much cleaner & safer yes, but too sterile & lacking character. One time I was waiting to board the 8 am 'Aberdonian' as I used to catch either the sleeper or daytime HST to Aberdeen from Kings Cross to visit my grandparents, and this lady sat next to me and started chatting to me, fair enough no worries, but as I got up to board my train she propositioned me! Needless to say I had to decline her offer but the station was filled with real characters as well as proper trains--always busy there! Keep up the fantastic work, love the banter--just a real pity there is so much undergrowth & weeds everywhere! Even station staff were one of a kind, but a few were genuinely in harmony and pride, the drivers back then a good laugh, I know things change of course, but for the better? My 'gplden age' for train travel was the 1980's & 1990's when BR really worked hard for their Inter-City brand before being sold off, remember the "Inter City Shuttle" services? dirt cheap tickets and great trains! Happy days! 😁
London King’s Cross is a beautiful station thanks for going there again!
Thanks for watching!
@@Tornado922 your welcome!
If they don't terminate there, there will be one heck of a mess down the far end!
Might take some explaining to do!
Great videos mate
Who's cleaning that up??
I agree with you on that livery its stunning
It really is
Very Nice. Congrats for this Rail compilation. I subscribe on your channel. Greetings from Italy.
Nice video as always. I’ve never seen a 10-car Hull Trains service before!
They've been running a 10 car train quite a lot lately from what I have seen
As always, great work! Looking forward to watching the Manchester video next!
Thank you very much!

As long as your happy then that's all that matters
Couldn't agree more about 91110 and 91111's liveries. Stunning and a great tribute to our war heroes that fought for Britain in WWII.
I just hope those locos will be preserved along with the liveries
Love your fabulous video but prefer platform ⁹
So do i
CLASS MATE!!!
Thank you kindly!
Brilliant video as always.
Thank you kindly
The 801s buddy from Alan in Lowestoft buddy
Great video
Thanks very much
Great video 👍
Thanks very much
Love the old livery on the 225 set's buddy
They really have done a tremendous job with it
@ 27:13 Tornado922: That is without doubt the best if not THE best livery ever on a locomotive in the UK
Class 91111: Am I a joke to you?
91111 really is a beautiful livery
91111 is a tremendous livery make no mistake, but for me personally 91110 is my personal favourite
@@Tornado922 i love the name plate of 91110
@@Tornado922 No problem, was just joking around, I love both 91110 and 91111, I couldn’t give an asnwer if I had to really pick 1 of them
16:48 love it mate 🤘
I come here legit all the time. I love kings cross
It is a great station to come to
My favourite livery is LNER. Simple and stylish. After that I place Trans Pennine.
Simple and stylish does work I agree
Great vid mate ❤❤
Thank you very much!
@Tornado922 Yor welcome ❤
I love King’s Cross.
It is a great station to come to

Thanks very much Chris and thanks for the extra information
No problem, mate.
Hull trains 802 look nicer to be, although i would probably pick the transpenine given the option.
I think train in white look more presentable
Ace ❤
Thank you kindly
An intercity livery on an 800 would look good I think
I believe you're right, all of them in red& white are boring
The Intercity livery just seems to work on everything
nice video
Thanks very much
Excellent video. Really enjoyed it. 😀
Thank you kindly!
No lumo services?
They don't run during the evening peak it would seem, atleast not from London anyway
Excellent rush hour film, just sad all the larger than life buildings are closing in on KX.
Thanks very much, there has been a lot of work done to the surrounding area of the station and I can't help but feel it's slowly losing it's charm and character as a result
Can't wait for you to mention the Cleethorpes service to kings cross when it begins haha
Well I'll be sure to mention it when it does
u were on platform 4/5 platoform 11 is where that great northen train was
One day I'll get it lol
Stood on platform 8 in the mid 70’s. 31’s, 47’s, deltics, first gen DMUS, the occasional peak. Too sterile now
It's time like these I wish I was alive back then to really appreciate it all
You are filming some great videos lately keep it up
That's very kind of you to say, thank you
Will u be going to the keighley worth valley desil gala this weekend
Sadly I couldn't attend it
Did the 365s retire?
no they are still around they are seen up in Scotland working for scotrail doing the Glasgow Queen Street to Edinburgh waverley services
I mean yes they did retire from the ECML
Another excellent video. Agree 91110 livery is great.
Thanks very much
Where are the lupo train s
Hi pal. Was wondering what the situation was with spotting at KX. Are the staff ok with it? Great video btw.
As long as you go to the contractors office and let them know what you intend to do when they are perfectly fine with it
I always thought LNER had only 801s?
No, the LNER Azumas contain 800s and 802s, as well as 801s.
Never been to Kings Cross before but it does look like a good station to go to! I don't know if either my social anxiety or bank account would approve though 😂
If you do ever get the chance to come here I can highly recommend it, just take out a small loan and you'll be fine 😂
@@Tornado922 I think I'll need more than a small loan to get there from Oxenholme 🤣
Hey Jared for your next video, could you visit London Paddington and London Euston please 🙏
I will be getting both stations done eventually
The lner azumas are either class 800 or 801 lner don't have any 802,s
He just made a little mistake my friend. I wouldn't take it personally its just one of those things. Don't you worry.
Always enjoy the KGX video! Still planning one for MAN?
I think we can safely say that I have haha, KGX is a great station to come to. Although some extra variety in traction here wouldn't go a miss

windy day ?
LNER = Iron board seats 👎👎
That station can be a wind trap at the best of times. I recently travelled on an LNER service and I found it to be perfectly comfortable
