I was getting mad about guillimans placement but then I realized this is Primach Heresy Journeys and not just Primarch journies. I was about to be mad for putting my beloved Blue Boy near the bottom. His journey really get interesting after he comes back to 40k.
To be fair to Guilliman, his creation of Imperium Secundus wasn’t heresy. All he had to go on was what Lorgar had told him in that multiple primarchs were dead and that soon Terra would fall. Then, with the ruinstorm, not only was he cut off from the rest of the imperium but they couldn’t even see the astronomicon. The ONLY logical reason for that would be that Terra had fallen. In the end, his goal was to CONTINUE the Emperor’s dream and empire, not to simply create a new Ultramarian empire.
The Khans gotta be 1-3. He goes from a forgotten brother/legion to an MVP. He fought for the emperor who forgot him instead of the brothers who would of accepted him in an instant. The ultimate wild card tipping the scale
The thing is, what makes him the best is he went out and checked out both sides. Actually doing research to see who was in the right, only to see yes emps sucks, but he is still the better option of the two. Instead of blind loyalty to either, the Khan use logic abd reason.
Luckily he basically had a rewrite for the HH books and it showed what a calculating, intelligent warrior whose swordsmanship was at least equal to Pre-mutated Fulgrim. He's my no.1 Primarch, closely followed by The Lion.
For Pre-Heresy Fulgrim, we really only have Fulgrims Primarchs novel and his appearance at the end of Ferrus's. I like loyal Fulgrim a lot, and I like Heretic Fulgrim/Daemon Fulgrim a lot! But not the transition.
To be fair, Guilliman had a colossal manufacturing base and recruiting pool even after the Shadow Crusade. He was the most capable of rebuilding after a catastrophe'. That being said, I must discard my bias for a moment and admit that he could not be higher on this list. His dominant characteristics do not exactly lend themselves to epic storytelling.
I would have bumped kurze up above robute. And maybe dropped Dorne below Mortarion. Maybe even vulkan don't hate me. I just thought Marty had a good story for his fall.
It is not that the ultramarines are not harmed, in Calth they lose more than half of the legion (which is more than the whole Space Wolves legion). The thing is that Ultramar is huge and their logistics are on point, so they can recover very very quickly (opposite to the SW).
Respectfully, with that logic if Vulcan brought the what... maybe one thousand surviving salamanders with him to terra then he "brought his whole legion". I also see the arguments that the infrastructure and organization in ultramar allowed for fast replenishment .. sure but the while Horus heresy was seven years. This is an ultramar under assault by the shadow crusade .. kurzes shenanigans on macragge ..etc. a generous number Id throw out there I maybe 50,000 were recruited/trained in that time to replenish. Again that's being generous.
Really enjoying this (Except Russ should have appeared already - oh well, we know Rho is a fanboy and that is cool for him) so I've made a list of the remaining 11 and where I think they will be placed. Not where I think they should be placed, but it will be fun to see what surprises there will be for the rest of the week. Horus, The Angle, and either Magnus or the Khan are my top 3 predictions. I bet this does not age well!
Honestly when reading these books I felt like the "main characters" where the traitors. Most of the books in the series seemed to focus on them more. Other then maybe Corax and Vulcan I would rate the loyalist brothers all in the bottom half and the traitors all in the top half of this list
Well after all was finally written and revealed let me just say Sanguinius has the worst story by far! His death was ultimately meaningless and disappointing! Change my mind ! :))
Everything that Russ does is meaningless, and his legion does nothing at all. The blood angels and Sanguinius have to deal with a very interesting internal conflict, and ultimately they are in Terra.
Well he just mess up Angron , a Titan , he hold alone a gate , save the Khan and went to fight the big one . And this is just on Terra . Definetly the worst one ❤
Dude cruze was number 1 do what of he didn't kill himself he was the best at for sight. And what did your boy Robote do huh really really how much did he help really uh uh uh yeah not much he was always a pretender

What makes him boring during the heresy is what makes him interesting in 40K

The Kahn is a beast and my 2 favourite Primarch

Russ needs to be far lower on this list.
100%, he's overrated in all areas. Of all the loyalist Primarchs he's in the bottom 3,every time.
I'm interested in seeing where he puts Dorn, because he legit doesn't get involved until basically the siege.

A rare disagreement, but guilliman didn't arrive with his entire legion. The losses on calth alone were enormous.
His entire legion. No matter the numbers left Guilliman brought his entire legion to Terra.
@TheTrueMalice And that was less than half his legion, which was estimated to be around 450,000.
@@digitalninja5941 the term entire doesn't mean his max power at the height. It means he brought everything he had available at that time.

Fulgrim is an honorless dog.
Fulgrim didn't get kind of a beat down he got is ass kicked and Waa hurt and felt pain but couldn't be killed.
Great job WLR.

HERESY! CALL THE GREY KNIGHTS IMMEDIATELY! 😅
Sanguinius, Dorn and the Khan very much feels like main characters
But we can all agree... the Emperor protects
Only those worthy of his protection 🙏 lol
Fulgrim's was just too quick. Feel like he could get a lot more respect if we saw more of him at his loyalist height
Naw, the Khan would beat him left handed! 😂❤
Nice
Fulgrim is the goat, don’t forget loyal fulgrim too!!!
Lol stop smoking that Kush, it's clouding ya judgement 😂
Fulgrim was sort of stupid and very weak minded, so he fell into slavery too easily, even leaving his real self locked deep within.
Chemos was tainted
Plural is Journeys, not Journey's.
The only strange one is how russ has not appeared yet. Lion should be lower. Pretty good aside from that
Cos Rho is 100% fanboy! :)
I love Russ and the SW, but I think his story is one of the worst by far
