Is it better to grind or remove a stump?

In Huntsville today I did a stump grinding job. I get asked this question asked a lot, "is it better to grind or remove a stump?" Stump removal is best used in a handful of situations. For example, if you're clearing a lot to build on it, you'll probably want stump removal. Or, if you want to plant another tree in the exact place where your old tree was, removal is your best bet. Nice job Chris. Customers tell me their lawn looks nicer where I ground vs where a backhoe dug them out. A backhoe pulls up sand and rocks from 6 feet down.
Try telling that to a backhoe operator and you might just as well be talking to a rock. Most anyhow. I did have one guy last summer that owned heavy equipment. He told me, he could get it out, but he was gonna have his yard all tore up by the time it was out. It was a giant maple. I did a complete ground out for him because he was gonna build something there. Nice guy, gave me extra $50 tip too.

Blow downs are a pain. I grind in ground and remove outta ground.
