At least you found a trail in CT! Of course it was gated at one end. It’s CT! A walk around of Robb’s truck would be cool. More trails and some camping would be good too. You’re off to a good start with your channel. Keep up the good work.
It is nice to see people using trucks off-road like how 99% of people use them. I put my Ram down some sketchy trails when I was out on Vancouver Island, but I never went rock crawling, and I don't know anyone that does. I really like seeing the Chevy trucks, they get no love here on UA-cam, which seems odd to me given that the ZR2 is the most affordable/capable midsized truck.
My z71 diesel is a beast. Ive pulled out other stuck 4x4s out of mud and snow. I've also never really got stuck, and even without a plow ive gone through some deep snow and mud holes lol
@@varsityoverland that would be excellent, i really wanna get my Z71 lvl'd and remove that gross air dam on the front and then start hitting beginner trails. i will also do many many videos. i just wish it wasn't so expensive to get it lvld and remove the air dam, both of these should be done from factory for the "Z71 Offroad" in my opinion.
@@Wuldier removing the air dam is easy peasy DIY project that shouldn't take more than 15 minutes. It's some bolts and then you slide it out and it's loose. Leveling is a whole different story. Can definitely be done at home if you have the time and patience and feel up to the task. It's not easy but I also wouldn't say it's hard. Somewhere intermediate in the middle. Might be worth paying to have it leveled by a professional but I wouldn't pay a cent to have someone else remove the air dam. It's one of the easiest and simplest things you could do to a Z71. It's a shame that they even put it on what is an off road package. Definitely the most glaring "WTF" on the Z71s but it's also so easy to take off (and put back on if you so decide).
Well I have a video from a few months ago describing why I picked the ZR2, but then I posted a video last week about whether I should've got a Tacoma 😅 so even after a year I still go back and forth in my head. Ultimately the stock lift, more aggressive tires, underbody protection and higher payload capacity were some of my factors. There was also a "unique" factor for me personally because I never see many others on the road but I see Tacomas all the time. In the end, get what works for you🤷♂️
I had a great time watching, can't wait for more!
👍🏻 nice trail ride without beating the hell out of your trucks.

Appreciate it!! Robbrain's rig walkaround will be the next video for sure!
my house is 15 minutes away from this place have been going for 15 years awsome to see it on your channel

I appreciate that!🙏
I do not blame you for not wrecking your one and only truck, it’s still fun!

Nice trucks! Definitely interested in a walk around
Yes! Already filmed it actually. Stay tuned👍
This looks like fun. I gotta find trails and friends up here in NH to do this with.
awesome trip thanks for sharing
sidenote: i find this much more relaxing and satisfying than rock crawling.
Hahaha🤣 good to know👍 I didnt even think about it that way.
Great video, CT doesn’t have much but this is our best option for any fun in CT whatsoever. Both trucks did great!
Appreciate it 👍
Two very capable off road trucks
i wish more videos showed what a Z71 can do, they are far more obtainable than the Awesome ZR2 due to pricing, but they are no joke.
Perhaps that can be arranged 🤔

I have a colorado diesel 2020 with 35's it's a monster
Dude, you look better without the beard.
Why did you choose the Colorado over the a Tacoma? I'm in the process of deciding which one to go with.

@@varsityoverland I appreciate your help and opinions.
Nice, on stock tires, no problem.
The Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs have impressed me over the last 9 months👍
Loving my Z71 diesel, havent been on many trails yet. Any parts lists of the Z71 upgrades or the ZR2 upgrades that are cross compatible?
Does your spare tire mounting bracket block your camera in reverse
Come on down to the south tennessee north carolina smoky mts and enjoy
I would just brake the gate open!
you are not a hard core rock crawler but your truck is.
What kind rig do you have for your spare tire on the zr2?
Its a Wilco Offroad Hitchgate. I actually sold it a few weeks ago
More off road adventures
Good job beating your buddies truck up. Lol
REALLY stupid design by G.M. to put shock base hangers SO low !
The struggle is real!
What kind of front bumper on the z71?
Ill have to ask him. I dont remember.
What brand rock rails are on the Z71?
Sadly we're not sure. They came with the truck when it was purchased. It'll be mentioned in my next video when I do a walk around of the truck.
@@varsityoverland they do look sharp on it.
im the first again!!
why would we need to see a walk around of a z71 after seeing a zr2 that's like saying who wants Brockley after eating ice-cream
Because Covid and government had to close 😂
Work needed on the video editing...
