I don't know why everyone seems to think Russell has a ways to go to achieve proper Christianity, beliefs to shed and gain and so on. Let him walk his path, and be more humble about your own beliefs and less judgmental of those of others. If he gains new beliefs or loses old ones that'll be that, but he doesn't have to conform and he certainly shouldn't feel pressured to do so and yeah, this is pressure.
Thats not necessarily true. We are supposed to conform to the image of Jesus Christ. We are supposed to be born again, a new person. True Jesus doesn't look for instant Perfection but he does expect us to look back and see change in our life. Sins we no longer do. Like it states in John. If one keeps on sinning after coming to the knowledge of Christ then they really dont understand who God Is and they are of their father the Devil. To many people create an image of their own Gods of how they think he will be and live their lives accordingly to their own beliefs. When in fact we must come to God on his terms. When Jesus states the lukewarm will be spit out of his mouth hes not just talking. When he states seek him with trembling and fear he means it. For without fear of judgment their is no change in ones life. The path is narrow, hard and Few be that ever find it. Hard because we must deny the flesh turn from sins. God flooded the whole world only 8 people survived. Jesus said it will be as the days of Noah again when he returns. Many will say Lord , Lord on that day only to be told I dont no you, you who live in iniquity, sin.
@@DanielSteele-xb4pl It is iniquity you need to look out for, not trifles where you go wrong somewhere and I somewhere else. Never to account for much. Forgive those and teach by example and soon enough people will be inspired to do like you do in those minor matters as well.
Matthew 23: 23-24

You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” If you bite and devour each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.
Then do not bite and devour this man, neither go placing heavy weights upon him on his way back to Christ, he was baptized not a month ago and you want to burden him already? As for the lukewarm, those are the lukewarm in deeds, those who do not do enough, who only donate that which overflows, never to give their bread to those hungrier than them until they had their fill. Those who do not strive in the way of Christ but merely cruise. This man just got himself baptised, does he not show more faith today than he did a month ago? Then why do you put into question his future progress instead of praising his current one? Would you be doing the same after dipping the head of a baby boy still unable to speak? Why do you let malice and doubt cloud your outlook here, then? Also remember that it is not for you to judge.

Will you then forgive them seven times or after the third tell them off because they aren't making progress in your eyes? You should remember Matthew 6:14-15, right after we were given the Lord's Prayer.
For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
I'm like Russell I'm new in my path to Christ and I've never been happier. God is 100 real I know it I've seen him I've talked with him in my nde I know that none of us are perfect but if we truly try and we repent and keep God in the front of our lives and let him drive us then you and I will have peace and happiness. How do you know Christianity is the right way when there are 4,300 religions out there?
What is religion? Religion is “the belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power, especially a personal God or gods.” In that respect, Christianity can be classified as a religion.
However, practically speaking, Christianity has a key difference that separates it from other belief systems that are considered religions. That difference is relationship.
Most religion, theistic or otherwise, is man-centered. Any relationship with God is based on man’s works. A theistic religion, such as Judaism or Islam, holds to the belief in a supreme God or gods; while non-theistic religions, such as Buddhism and Hinduism, focus on metaphysical thought patterns and spiritual “energies.” But most religions are similar in that they are built upon the concept that man can reach a higher power or state of being through his own effort.
In that regard, Christianity is not a religion; it is a relationship that God has established with His children. In Christianity, God is the aggressor and man is the beneficiary (Romans 8:3), The Bible states clearly that there is nothing man can do to make himself right with God (isaiah 53:6, 64:6, Romans 3:23, 6:23) According to Christianity, God did for us what we cannot do for ourselves (colossians 2:13, 2 corinthians 5:21), Our sin separates us from His presence, and sin must be punished (romans 6:23, matthew 10:28, 23:33) But, because God loves us, He took our punishment upon Himself. All we must do is accept God’s gift of salvation through faith (ephesians 2:8-9, 2 corinthians 5:21) Grace is Gods blessing on the undeserving.
Christianity is not about signing up for a religion. Christianity is about being born into the family of God (John 3:3). It is a relationship. Just as an adopted child has no power to create an adoption, we have no power to join the family of God by our own efforts. We can only accept His invitation to know Him as Father through adoption (Ephesians 1:5; Romans 8:15).
When we join His family through faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus, the Holy Spirit comes to live inside our hearts (1 Corinthians 6:19; Luke 11:13; 2 Corinthians 1:21-22). He then empowers us to live like children of the King. He does not ask us to try to attain holiness by our own strength, as religion does. He asks that our old self be crucified with Him so that His power can live through us (Galatians 2:20; Romans 6:6). God wants us to know Him, to draw near to Him, to pray to Him, and love Him above everything.
That is not religion; that is a relationship. That’s what sets Christianity apart. That is what’s different. So when I’m asked if I’m religious, I say no. Taking all religion out, I have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
John 14:6 Jesus says “I am the way the truth in the life and no one comes to the father, but by me. Jesus is the door and the only way into Heaven.”
Without a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, there is no entry into Heaven. we cannot pray to dead Saints, We cannot pray the mother Mary we cannot worship, idols or statues. We most definitely can’t pray to a man in a box who is probably more sinful than you - no one can Intercede on behalf of Jesus.
Matthew 7:22-23 “Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”
Evidence and reliability is why we can bank on Christianity and the Holy Bible being the true word of God. You have to look at the historical evidence of the Holy Bible to first know if it’s a reliable source.
🔘 The Bible is historically accurate❗️The interesting fact is that there are over 4300 religions out there… This means that there are millions of people who believe in a creator - A God. All these religions claim that there’s an unseen God that exists.
We all have this curiosity inside of us to know who, how and what created us. All these 4,300 religions have ways of connecting with a specific God.
But the question is… why choose Jesus Christ❓Because the historical evidence shows He lived, taught, died and rose from the grave. And this shows reliability.

it’s a message system. There are over 5,000 manuscripts, over 66 separate books written by over 40 Authors over several thousand years. It’s an integrated message system with every number place and time in there by deliberate skillful engineering. Supernatural engineering by a supernatural engineer.
Here are 4 tests to prove its reliability: internal consistency, literary style, archeological evidence & manuscript evidence.
✅ Internal consistency - Matthew Mark Luke and John show an internal consistency. Different perspectives but no contradictions.
✅ Literary style - is the literary style of gospels a fairytale? No. The literary style of the gospels is reportage. Like the New York Times - the LA times. At this time in this place I saw Jesus do this and I heard him say
✅ Archaeology- Bethlehem Jerusalem Rome. Nazareth. Etc. All Verifiable places.
✅ Manuscript evidence- what the eye witnesses wrote. Today the gospels are based on over 5,200 Greek manuscripts or pieces of manuscripts. Found from the known world all agreeing.
Note: ✍️ Over 500 people saw Jesus Christ after He died as well!
Just the mere fact that over 500 people claimed to see Jesus Christ 👑 after he died should be overwhelming evidence considering there’s no motivation for these people to make this claim. If you were to claim to see Jesus Christ after He was persecuted you would have been persecuted yourself. So why would these random people make such a claim❓
How about the events and predictions in the Bible❓
The Bible also accurately foretells specific events-in detail-many years, sometimes centuries, before they occur.

It was written by 40 men, most of whom never met each other. It was written in 3 different languages. On three different continents. Over a period of 1,500 years.
Without divine inspiration that’s absolutely impossible.
The Bible isn’t just a book. It’s 66 books that men wrote under the divine guidance of the Holy Spirit. It’s the living Word of God! Read it, study it, and apply it!
Anyone who claimed to be God and walked this earth had their bones found in the ground upon death. Only Jesus, who claimed to be God, bodily ascended into heaven. Neither Jesus' body nor his bones were ever found.

No other religion guarantees Heaven around Jesus Christ. Its impossible to work our way into Heaven, but if you’re born again, it’s the only guarantee you’re going to go to Heaven.
Satan attacks what is true, that is why Christianity is attacked so hard worldwide. He won’t attack the religions that are living away from God - because he knows he has those people locked down unless they make the choice to know the Truth. Thats why we get attacked so hard as Christians & the closer we are to Christ’s 2nd return the harder we will be attacked.
Jesus established thr true religion, and even talks about what true religion is (charity). He also said he didn't come to abolish the law but to fulfill it. The religious law continues to this day, but fulfilled through Jesus Christ, and now available to gentiles.

Yes. Christ knows each and every one of us. But not each and every one of us wants to know Christ. You don't have to know him for you to invite him into your life, and you don't have to clean yourself up first or get your life in order. He says, "Come as you are". But he does expect repentance and obedience if you want to be a follower. It's a cost of dying to self. But he will give you a renewing of your mind and the Holy Spirit to give you power to have victory over sin.
