Super Mario Bros. 3 - World 4 Airship beaten w/ Tanooki Suit

- Something I could never quite pull off, but finally succeeded at today. Here's the airship in World 4 beaten with the Tanooki Suit snagged in Level 4-5, without getting hit.
Also forgot to mention how the king says something different if you manage to beat the airship with one of the three suits. So far I've pulled it off with the frog and tanooki suits...next I think I'll try beating the World 7 airship with the hammer suit.
Holding down and pressing b with a tanooki suit turns you into an invincible statue. It can also be used to kill certain enemies which otherwise are invincible, like the rocket engines that are so prevalent in the airship on this video.

If you hold down b (I think that's the combo) with a tanooki suit, you turn into an invincible statue, a trick you can't do with raccoon mario. The statue can also be used to kill some rocket engines (like those in this airship) if their flame points upward, as well as the rotodisks (the disco ball enemies in fortresses which move in a circular path) if you land on them as a statue
megagrey, why didn't you kill those 'Rocket Engines' (you know you *can* *kill* those, but it depends on where the flame *points*)?
umm can someone plz telll me the purpose of the tanooki suit and its controls. Clearly i need it to be written in words.

Iggy had big glasses! And his hair color is similar to his new look's hair color (though different haircuts).
I wonder why this airship is different from the rest of them - runs a lot slower and the coins don't revolve.

i figured it out how to use that move. its awesome.

one question, why leave the n card match game unplayed?
Once, I did that (in my savestates run) to avoid losing items to the 28-item limit... and once, after completing a match game, the points from the coins I earned in it pushed me over the next multiple of 80,000 and another N match appeared right on top of me. Amazing.
@@meta04 Also if I remember, the N Card Match Game is largely based on the Card Game Memory.
