Holy cromoly. I transitioned from road riding to mountain bikes when they were just gettin kickin in the '80's and thought I was bad ass. Wow, how the world has changed. I could only dream of such lines.
I was a serious mountain biker in the 90's. I was pretty good. This guy makes me look like a beginner. I stopped after my mother passed away. I just couldn't handle life for about a year. I'm sorry I never got back into it.
God bless your mother’s soul, man. But it is never too late, like previously said. You can become the oldest driver, inspiring other elders or youngsters for there are no borders and all of the reasons are just made up. Start from weekends, then move on to a more serious roots. You may come back.

As beautiful as the cinematography was, i really just wanted to see longer sections of riding strung together without the camera obscuring the insane angles and bike handling skills. Absolutely STUNNINGLY beautiful, and stellar riding!

This my first time seeing a ride like this.. what a stunning flow of movement; in a dangerous and rocky environment. What was exhilarating was the depth of the scenery and see the decent that you took. the tight spaces you had to travel through to get to the next level. Mind blowing for a novice to watch.
These trails are all completely forbidden for biking (not only because they are pretty dangerous but they are situated in a Unesco World Heritage and highly frequented by trampers and tourists). The locations are: Paternkofel Ferrata, Büllelejoch where you can legally bike to!, Zsigmondy Hut, Alpinisteig, Oberbachernjoch, Sandebüheljoch and on the shores of the Marmolada, i.e. Pian Fiacconi - absolutel recommended for Bike & Hike btw.!

Best "base camp" from the north (i.e. South Tirol) is the Sexten/Sesto area, from the south (i.e. province Veneto) is Misurina where you also can drive up to the Auronzo hut. Also do not miss the open air museum at the Mt. Piano which you can approach from the Misurina side as well
I'm troubled: on one hand, this is spectacular and I admire your abilities. On the other hand, it seems a bit idiotic to go looking this hard for troubles. Also, we locals respect these mountains and feel that there's almost something sacred to their beauty. Riding like, just for the sake of putting up a show, seems desecrating to me. Finally, I'd like to say that if that's a ferrata, it's one of easiest ever. Looks more like a simple rigged trail (sentiero attrezzato). Ciao Places I could recognize: Paterno, Tre Cime di Lavaredo, Marmolada.
Having done that ferrata (on foot) myself I must congratulate this man cos he must have faced several hundreds of times where a mistake or a wrong choice would have resulted fatal. Well done indeed!
@@korgil there seem to be excerpts from both Strada delle 52 Gallerie e Strada degli Eroi on the Pasubio mountain. Strada delle 52 gallerie (Road of the 52 tunnels) has some little ferrata bits but it's not an actual ferrata way. Ferrata is just the generic name for every mountain way with a secured iron cable to hook on to be safe. You wouldn't be able to ride a bicycle on a ferrata, I mean, if you can ride a bicycle on a stepladder against a wall you probably can ride a ferrata way too ;)

The question is not if someone could do something like this. It's more if anyone should? The stunning pictures aside, the skills shown here are normal good bike handling and line choice but not pro-level. But the stakes of riding fast this close to absolutely deadly cliffs is just not worth it in my opinion. I really hope this does not become a trend where Mountainbikers would start dying like those Wingsuit-Nutjobs.
