M5 and AMG GTS owner switch supercars for an EPIC drive!

Hey guys! In this video, i take an m5 for a quick drive and give my thoughts on it. Then, the m5 owner takes the amg out for a drive and "review" as well!
Key points for the m5: a good hybrid car. Not a hybrid in the sense of 1/2 engine and 1/2 battery, but hybrid as in a good all-around performance and luxury sedan. I'd definitely categorize the m5 as a super saloon. m5 exhaust sounds great stock, but definitely needs to be louder in my opinion. Needs a tune as well. Interior quality is pretty decent as well. no rattles or squeaks when pressing down on trim. Suspension is soft as well (could be good or bad depending on what you want). the m5 Competition, however, has harder suspension. Stock performance numbers - 0-60: 3.4S. 60-130: 8.9S.
Key points for the AMG: not comfortable at all. insanely harsh ride quality especially on these beautiful boston roads. However, that's not the purpose of the car. The car is meant to be hardcore and visceral. Exhaust is loud. Suspension is stiff. Interior squeaks a little here and there. It's rear-wheel drive as opposed to all-wheel drive on the M5. Can put some solid lap times on the track with the AMG. Definitely not as good of a daily-driver as the M5, however, can still be daily-driven. 0-60 and 60-130 (not tested in the video, but 3.3S and ~7S respectively. STAGE 1 TUNED).

My wife had an M5 while I had a GTC (which I still have). The M5 is a fantastic car...huge trunk, spacious for 4, great motor, comfortable. Aside from these obvious mostly form factor differences, the big difference for me when driving is the confidence the M5 4wd inspires in twisties, especially in wet weather compared to the GTC. Top notch Sports Sedan vs top-notch more visceral sportscar. Over time the GTC will be a more unique car.

I love Mercedes. But I also love all Euro cars. My first Mercedes love and why I even got involved with Mercedes was me riding my bike years ago. I seen a CLK parked on a corner and couldn’t stop looking at it. Years later bought one 2nd gen. Then a CLS first gen and now a CLS 2nd gen. Love them all in their own ways!
