I've a big issue with people constantly calling George lazy. Being a writer, or artist of any kind is incredibly taxing work, especially at his level. Its just like Miura with Berserk. You can complain all you want, but there is a reason every single chapter is a masterclass. He took his time and only wrote when he was inspired and had the story figured out. George has most likely been working on the next book on and off since his last. Believe it or not, books don't write themselves. GoT went past the books way before they ran out of material though. The show could easily still be going now if they had faithfully adapted the the later seasons as faithfully as they adapted seasons 1-4. Time will tell but perhaps if they had done that, George would have book 6 out by the time they hit the end of book 5 in the show.

I 100% believe that the show went exactly the same way George was planning on writing the last two books and the reason he hasn't written anything is because he has no idea how to change it so it doesn't seem like that's how it was gonna end.
To be fair to George R.R. Martin, the show writers made up whatever past his books at the time. So the reason why the show's ending was bad was because the original source material wasn't there. Also George told his assistants that if he ever died, he would write scripts for them to continue the books, not the show.
Martin gave a general outline of how the characters ended, but the showrunners cut a lot and then rushed the ending, so it didn't make any sense. Martin and HBO said they needed more seasons for the plot to play out, but the showrunners kind of stopped caring after season 6. When he actually finishes the damn books I'm sure the ending will work out. The problem is he has a huge mess of subplots and character arcs he has to untangle. Honestly, he could've cut a lot out of books 4 and 5 so he'd have less stuff to deal with when wrapping up the story.
The last part of the episode: Everyone, "I'm sure he hasn't make any chapter and is living" Jackson, "no, actually he wrote and released some chapters already" Everyone, "yeah no he didn't write any chapter yet" Lol

Recently got lost in a rabbit hole of Game of Thrones lore and had an epiphany. George RR Martin is obsessed with side characters and world-building, the majority of which does not matter. In the last book he introduced another Sand Snake who is poised to work with Sam and (possibly) Jaqen H'ghar to research a way to defeat the Dragons & the White Walkers. GRRM will spend the rest of his life fleshing this out and the HBO series just said "Bro, dragons are just flying horses and White Walkers have three known weakness, it is not rocket science." GRRM likely realized that each book got him further and further from a satisfying ending and he only had himself to blame.

GoT went past the books way before they ran out of material though. The show could easily still be going now if they had faithfully adapted the the later seasons as faithfully as they adapted seasons 1-4. Time will tell but perhaps if they had done that, George would have book 6 out by the time they hit the end of book 5 in the show.

I think GoT was overblown and hadn't been good in seasons. The ending just nailed it down and the first few seasons magic wasn't reclaimed

To be fair to George R.R. Martin, the show writers made up whatever past his books at the time. So the reason why the show's ending was bad was because the original source material wasn't there.
Also George told his assistants that if he ever died, he would write scripts for them to continue the books, not the show.
You guys need to have Jon Tron on your podcast.
Martin gave a general outline of how the characters ended, but the showrunners cut a lot and then rushed the ending, so it didn't make any sense. Martin and HBO said they needed more seasons for the plot to play out, but the showrunners kind of stopped caring after season 6.
When he actually finishes the damn books I'm sure the ending will work out. The problem is he has a huge mess of subplots and character arcs he has to untangle. Honestly, he could've cut a lot out of books 4 and 5 so he'd have less stuff to deal with when wrapping up the story.

God it triggered me so bad when Jackson pronounced Campana correctly and then Kaya just corrected him.
Recently got lost in a rabbit hole of Game of Thrones lore and had an epiphany. George RR Martin is obsessed with side characters and world-building, the majority of which does not matter. In the last book he introduced another Sand Snake who is poised to work with Sam and (possibly) Jaqen H'ghar to research a way to defeat the Dragons & the White Walkers. GRRM will spend the rest of his life fleshing this out and the HBO series just said "Bro, dragons are just flying horses and White Walkers have three known weakness, it is not rocket science." GRRM likely realized that each book got him further and further from a satisfying ending and he only had himself to blame.

McAfee can run on ring 0 so they have access to everything on your PC. it was the standard AV for everyone, came pre-installed on tons of PCs/ laptops and was a trusted partner of every branch of the US gov. it's more unlikely he didn't have some dirt tbh
Kayaro: perhaps he wasn't prioritized hence why he was not killed sooner. Sometimes you have to take what you can get. I could be wrong but I feel like paying somebody off to do the job in Spain and keeping them quiet is easier than doing so in the United States
