Also I think that phrase can be taken out of context but obviously not with him. Because saying you like " Younger guys " especially when you're young doesn't always imply YOUNGER THAN YOU. Like it could mean 18-25. I think that is what he was trying to SAY, but obviously we know what the TRUTH is.
I was groomed by an older male, it gave me a lot of shame. My advice to young curious people don't interact with strangers on the web in an intimate way. Just don't do it, stay safe.
That was the part of the video that actually I didn't care for. Like, how about we put the onus on the adults to do their due diligence when interacting with people online? A lot of what Spill said in the end assumes that the adult is acting in good faith, which is QUESTIONABLE AT THE LEAST with James Charles. We need to be holding adults accountable, while also giving kids tools to protect themselves.

@Sdrrshock 55 they are not talking about after you have consented to something and the action is completed, they are talking about during the action and it is still going on. If you consent to doing something with someone you can change your mind in the middle of the action and that’s ok. Both parties have to stop at that point.

To a point I can understand, but the fact that he's dating so many minors makes it very clear what he's trying to do. You can find people of legal age who look young, and that's fine because the issue is consent. But once you start messaging people who are minors it's crossing the line.

I'm glad this issue is still being discussed. The recent vlog squad/David Dobrik stuff kind of pushed this aside for a bit. It genuinely concerns me that brands still continue to support James Charles.
I think all of these instances happened waaaaay in the past. (FYI, I'm not a fan) Stuff is coming to light NOW but happened in the past all around the same time. I think James has learned now to 1) always ask for ID to show proof of age, and 2) keep a full record of every single conversation PERIOD. If this happened all across his 20's, then yeah, I'd say he has a problem. But these literally happened over the course of 1 or 2 years and the 'scandals' are all coming to light way later. Let's see if there's one more CURRENT accusation (March 2021 or LATER). If he flirts with a minor and he never asked for ID... then he has a problem. Until then, we should give him the benefit of the doubt.

At age 18 and 19 I was friends with a 15-16y old. Mentoring relationships can form and it makes sense for him to have one with them since they blew up overnight just like him and it makes sense that he would be a friend and guide for them.
